I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered mental health care for adolescents, adults, and older adults.

I am experienced in managing a wide range of mental health conditions, including complex mood disorders, ADHD, trauma-related conditions, anxiety disorders, and psychotic-spectrum symptoms in outpatient settings.

I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma-related disorders, OCD, insomnia, bipolar disorder, and psychotic-spectrum symptoms including paranoia, hallucinations, and delusional thinking in outpatient settings. My approach combines evidence-based medication management with supportive therapy to help clients feel heard, supported, and empowered in their mental health journey. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental environment where clients can build coping skills, improve emotional wellness, and work toward lasting stability and personal growth.

First session

During our first session, we will take time to discuss your current concerns, mental health history, symptoms, stressors, goals, and any previous treatment experiences. My goal is to create a comfortable and supportive environment where you feel heard without judgment. Together, we will explore how your symptoms may be affecting your daily life, relationships, work, school, or emotional well-being. We will also review medications, coping strategies, sleep patterns, and overall functioning to develop a personalized treatment plan that fits your needs. Clients can expect a collaborative approach focused on education, support, symptom stabilization, and realistic goals for improvement.

Strengths

My greatest strengths include providing compassionate, attentive, and individualized psychiatric care while building strong therapeutic relationships with clients from diverse backgrounds. I believe in treating the whole person, not just the diagnosis, and I work collaboratively with clients to create practical and achievable treatment goals. I am experienced in managing a wide range of mental health conditions, including complex mood disorders, ADHD, trauma-related conditions, anxiety disorders, and psychotic-spectrum symptoms in outpatient settings. Clients often appreciate my calm, supportive, and nonjudgmental approach, as well as my ability to combine medication management with supportive therapy, psychoeducation, and coping skill development to promote long-term emotional wellness and stability.

Ideal clients

I specialize in treating adolescents, adults, and older adults experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma-related conditions, OCD, insomnia, bipolar disorder, and psychotic-spectrum symptoms such as paranoia, hallucinations, and delusional thinking in an outpatient setting. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and evidence-based, combining psychiatric medication management with supportive therapy to help clients stabilize symptoms, strengthen coping skills, and improve overall quality of life.

Treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns, improve emotional regulation, and develop healthier coping strategies. In my practice, CBT is commonly integrated into treatment for anxiety, depression, ADHD, stress management, trauma-related symptoms, and adjustment difficulties. I focus on practical, goal-oriented interventions that clients can apply in daily life.

Supportive

I use supportive therapy to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can process emotions, build coping skills, and improve overall functioning. My approach focuses on emotional support, problem-solving, psychoeducation, stress management, and strengthening resilience while helping clients navigate life transitions, relationship stressors, grief, anxiety, and mood-related concerns.

Motivational Interviewing

I use Motivational Interviewing to help clients explore ambivalence, strengthen motivation for change, and build confidence in achieving personal goals. This approach is especially helpful for improving treatment engagement, medication adherence, lifestyle changes, anxiety management, depression, ADHD-related challenges, and behavioral health concerns. I focus on meeting clients where they are while supporting collaborative, patient-centered care.

Solution-Focused Brief Treatment

I use Solution-Focused Brief Treatment to help clients identify strengths, build on existing coping skills, and develop practical solutions to current challenges. My approach emphasizes goal-setting, resilience, and achievable steps toward improvement while helping clients navigate anxiety, depression, stress, ADHD symptoms, relationship difficulties, and life transitions.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I incorporate mindfulness-based therapy techniques to help clients improve emotional awareness, reduce stress, and develop healthier responses to difficult thoughts and emotions. In my practice, mindfulness strategies are commonly used to support anxiety management, mood regulation, ADHD, stress reduction, sleep difficulties, and overall emotional well-being through grounding and present-focused coping skills.
