I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist LCAS in North Carolina. I obtained my Master’s in Social Work in 2013 with the Joint Master’s of Social Work Program between the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and North Carolina Agricultural &Technical State University. I have 12 years of experience in assisting men, women, adolescents, POC, and the LGBTQI+ population break unhealthy thinking and behavior patterns. I am enthusiastic about uncovering mental and behavioral health obstacles, and encouraging individuals towards the best quality of life possible.
In our first session client's can expect to feel listened to, and safe to express their challenges and concerns without judgement. We will also identify at least 2 short term goals of what they want to see happen or change in their life.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of helping people find hope and healing through some of life’s toughest challenges. I’m well versed in trauma treatment and have worked closely with individuals to rebuild confidence, strength, and self-compassion. My approach blends understanding, encouragement, and practical tools to help clients gain fresh insight and make meaningful changes in their lives. As I expand my work to serve veterans, my goal is to create a space where they feel seen, supported, and empowered to move forward with resilience and purpose.
I’m passionate about working with adults who are ready to shift their perspective and create lasting, positive change in their lives. My ideal clients are those seeking to build healthier habits, rediscover happiness, and cultivate a more fulfilling sense of self.
I have been in clinical practice for 10 years with extensive training and experience in several treatment modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Trauma Therapy, and Drug and Alcohol Treatment. Brittany believes in the therapeutic value of confronting unhealthily beliefs and thought patterns and strives to help individuals and families implement the notion that hope, effort, and patience are the gateways to success, joy, and abundance.
