I seek to create an open and supportive space that invites laughter and a sense of humor while also tackles deep emotional wounds and challenges. Come get frustrations off your chest, come tell your story. I am a therapist that strives to be both empathic and heart centered while also helping clients gently challenge themselves to lean into the hard parts of life that arise and to help you take hold of what improvements are in your control.
They first session is really a chance to get to hear what this life experience is like for you. This could be current challenges or stressors or hearing about your life story. I want to hear what it is like to be you! I often lead with narrative therapy to just help folks share their experience and all the emotions that come with it. After we get a feel for where things are at, we can collaborate on goals and intentions for the work. In time, we will look at what parts of your present and future you have control of and how we can empower you to step into your best version of yourself.
I help people really feel heard and seen and known. I can sit with someone talking through trauma or heavy emotions and provide a space for healing. I do care. It is hard to be a human sometimes and I am here to validate and support people wherever they are at without judgment. I also feel I know how to pick up on where a person is at on a given day and if we need to go deep or if it more helpful to simply hold space and be supportive.
I love being present for turning points in people's lives. I enjoy diving deep into personal stories and helping clients raise their awareness of themselves and their inner workings. I work a great deal with parents battling to balance being a parent and taking care of themselves emotionally. I work with dads, I work with moms, I work with teenagers trying to find themselves in this wild world. I work with young professionals opening themselves up to the benefits of a therapeutic space for themselves. I have worked with seniors grieving spouses and life transitions. Anyone that is willing to be brave and open themselves up to exploration and improvement, I am here ready to dive in. I hope to hear from you and connect soon. - Harmon
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Awareness of thought patterns is a pathway to improvement. CBT helps shed light on what thinking apatetns do not serve us, and what reframes can help us show up as our best.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
Acceptance and Commitment therapy helps us connect our actions to our values. I use ACT to help people identify what is important to them and what steps are needed to get to where they want to be.

Had a great first meeting with Harmon and look forward to continuing to meet with him. Therapy isn’t something I’m used to but he made me feel comfortable and ready to better myself.

Harmon is great at active listening and provides a good environment to be vulnerable and open. This was a great first step on my therapy journey thanks to him.
