We are responsible for our own choices, and sometimes for the choices of others. That responsibility can feel daunting, especially when change is already unfolding beneath the surface. I believe that asking for help is itself a courageous act of authenticity. My practice provides a direct, down-to-earth space for adults navigating major life transitions, emotional overwhelm, and pattern breaking, focusing entirely on real-time reality and practical tools you can use outside of our sessions.

I help young adults and adults (ages 18–64) healing from childhood trauma and neglect who struggle with anxiety, emotional dysregulation, perfectionism, and low self-esteem develop the tools to regulate their emotions, build self-trust, and move forward without feeling controlled by their past. I believe there is hope after trauma. When someone begins therapy with me, I want them to know that they don't have to continue feeling stuck in the effects of what happened to them. Together, we can explore and understand the trauma, look at how it may be impacting their life today, and identify ways to help them start feeling better. I want therapy to be a safe and supportive space where clients feel comfortable expressing what they are feeling and what is bothering them without fear of judgment. I know that talking about trauma can be difficult, and clients don't have to navigate that process alone. My hope is that clients can learn to understand themselves and their responses, develop tools to regulate difficult emotions, feel better about themselves, and begin to see their lives from a new perspective.

A few sentences that would capture some of myself would follow as such. Firstly, I would say that my approach comes from a perspective of embracing and affirming the struggles that one has, by ultimately claiming and using those struggles and difficulties within one's own life as a vantage point to help understand and navigate through life. I would say one challenge I find in not only my own life but within conversations with others and within sessions is to validate and confirm all of one's existence, especially those that are more difficult to affirm such as pain, suffering, hardships, mental health and physical health disorders. Secondly, I am by nature very curious and attentive when in the company of another within a therapeutic space and outside a session which has brought many perspectives within my life from existentialism, CBT, DBT therapy, and many other modalities. One ideal that I strive for within sessions is to ask questions in such a manner to allow the client's to explore and discover details and aspects of one's life that otherwise would be dormant and to allow for greater exploration of meaning and purpose. One quote that would describe my practice would be: "we live in a state of becoming, being is more immediate, simple and indeterminate, where becoming is open, more complex and dynamic."

Have you been carrying more than you let other people see? Maybe anxiety has been running the show, and you can’t seem to quiet your mind or concentrate. Maybe a relationship has left you feeling confused or stuck. Or maybe you’re carrying so much that you don’t even know where to start. Whatever brought you here, you don’t have to figure it out alone. I work with adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD and executive functioning challenges, relationship concerns, life transitions, stress, grief, self-esteem, and personal growth. Many of the people I work with feel stretched thin, pulled in multiple directions, and under constant pressure. Over time, that pressure can affect how they think, feel, and respond to the people around them. Together, we’ll slow things down, make sense of what’s happening, and identify practical steps that move you toward the life you want. My approach is warm, collaborative, and action-oriented. I believe therapy should provide insight, but it should also equip you with skills you can use long after our work together ends.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and in case you’re unsure of what that is, it means I have earned a Bachelor Degree in Social Work a Master of Social Work and once I completed Graduate school I was then required to complete 3,000 hours of clinical work experience under supervision for another two years after those supervised clinical hours I had to successfully sit for ASWB Clinial Level exam. Being a Licensed Clinical Social Worker not only means that I am passionate about Mental Health, but I am also focused on your environment, meaning I look at external factors that impact your situation. When I started Graduate School, I went in with the notion of studying Psychology until I came across the Social Work Program, after doing some extensive research into the profession, I decided that is what I wanted to do. I learned I can help individuals with their Mental Health as well as take a holistic approach to address any barriers they may face while working towards their goals. I absolutely LOVE being a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and helping individuals reach goals they’ve set for themselves.

I utilize a positive theoretical orientation which assumes that all individuals possess an innate desire for well-balanced emotional/mental health. I believe a person enters therapy with a strong wish, whether conscious or unconscious, to overcome obstacles and free themselves from constraints that are holding them back. I find that everyone needs a slightly different approach to accomplish these goals, so I adjust in technique for each specific challenge. I truly enjoy the experience of guiding my clients through this process and consider it a privilege to play such an important role in a person's life. “Crying does not indicate that you are weak. Hello. I am Eddie Do you feel constantly on edge—tense, anxious, or jittery? Are trembling, sweaty hands making everyday moments harder? Have dread and fear been weighing you down? I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), a Certified Grief Informed Professional, and a doctoral scholar. I hold a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling and a Master of Arts in Human Resource Management, bringing together clinical expertise with a deep understanding of the personal, relational, and workplace challenges many people face. Throughout more than 30 years of service in behavioral health, human services, leadership, and counseling, I have had the privilege of helping individuals navigate some of life’s most difficult seasons with hope, resilience, and practical strategies for growth. I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, grief and loss, caregiver stress, life transitions, relationship concerns, workplace stress, and adjustment to significant life changes. I have a special passion for supporting women, caregivers, helping professionals, and individuals who spend so much time caring for others that they often neglect their own emotional well-being. I also work with individuals seeking greater self-awareness, healthier relationships, improved coping skills, and personal growth. Clients often describe me as warm, compassionate, thoughtful, and easy to talk with. I believe every person has unique strengths, and together we will build upon those strengths while addressing the challenges that may be keeping you from living the life you desire. Whether you are feeling overwhelmed, grieving a loss, managing stress, or simply looking for support during a period of transition, you do not have to face it alone. I'm a social worker by trade with over 25 years of experience in a lot of different areas. I have a breadth of experience that allows me to be very flexible so I can move where the person I am working with is at. I like to make people comfortable first. I know therapy is challenging and I recognize that it can be hard to open up to a stranger about things. Professionally I have a many years working with veterans/military, people who had a TBI, mental health, substance abuse, and more. I provide a very open and non-judgmental space, and am here to listen. I want someone to feel heard and seen, and to know that I am here for them, and here to help them.
