I offer licensed therapy services to support adults & teens who are experiencing difficulty with daily functioning and emotional distress. In 2020, I opened my private practice in order to offer easily accessible support to more people in my community. Since then, I have continued to support clients with convenient yet meticulously tailored therapy for each person’s unique presentation and needs. I received a Master of Social Work from Simmons University and I am a licensed clinical social worker in both California and Massachusetts. I have nearly 15 years of experience working in the mental health field with people of all ages and have been practicing licensed therapy with adolescents and adults for 9 years.
I primarily use a person-centered approach to my work, as I highly value the development of an individual’s self worth. I am passionate about empowering my clients to build stronger ways to self-advocate and have a better understanding of themselves. My sessions are always approached with empathy, mutual respect, enthusiasm and creativity. I use a strength based, trauma informed and collaborative lens. Additionally, I offer an eclectic and wide range of modalities including psychodynamic, narrative therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, acceptance commitment therapy, solution focused therapy and more. It is always my priority to use approaches that each client responds to best. Clients can expect a friendly, inclusive, professional and safe virtual environment to find relief, learn to manage emotional barriers and process ongoing distress or past experiences. All clients receive a customized therapeutic treatment plan based on their needs, evidence-based therapy practices, convenient & easily accessible care through a HIPAA secure connection. In our first session together, we will answer any questions you might have and gather information about your presentation and needs. Making the decision to come to therapy can be overwhelming, let's walk through the whole process together!
As a therapist, I am a champion of self-advocacy and passionate about supporting others in finding their strengths and building self-esteem. I find using humor and analogies related to my client’s interests are effective and fun ways to process and provide validation when appropriate. I check in with my clients frequently regarding their therapy journey. This ensures our initially defined goals continue to align with you throughout the process and then we can make adjustments to that plan when needed. Although I’m there to guide your treatment, it’s important to me that clients feel they are ultimately deciding where their treatment goes.
My area of focus include ADHD, anxiety and depression. Figuring out the ins and outs of your ADHD symptoms and presentation is unique to each person and a diagnosis I have developed years of expertise in. I have many experiences working with people who are moving into a new chapter of life, whether it’s graduating college, retirement, starting a new job, or other life transitions. Additionally, I am proud to provide inclusive therapy to LGBTQIA+ clients and gender affirming care. Some of my previous jobs and settings include individual counseling, a day treatment center, a residential treatment center, a therapeutic school, a group home for LGBTQ+ adolescents, the Boston juvenile court clinic, child care agencies, and community-based services (intensive care coordination, in-home family therapy and therapeutic mentoring). After graduate school, I assisted in opening a new location of Riverside School & Life Skills Center in Milford, MA where I facilitated individual and group therapy with adolescents for over 6 years.
I use narrative therapy as the foundation of my work in order to build a comprehensive understanding of your story and your needs. I assess what each client responds to best and determine additional modalities to incorporate after initial narrative processing.
