Dr. Danielle Glick, PsyD
I support adults navigating trauma, anxiety, mood disorders such as bipolar disorder and depression, as well as chronic illness and cancer-related concerns.
I believe in creating a collaborative, compassionate space where clients feel safe, understood, and empowered to move toward healing and growth.
Using an integrative, trauma-informed approach—including EMDR, CBT, DBT, and mindfulness—I provide a compassionate space where clients can build coping skills, process difficult experiences, and create lasting change. I tailor treatment to each client’s unique needs, goals, and lived experiences.
First session
In our first session, we'll focus on getting to know one another and building a strong foundation for our work together. We'll explore what brings you to therapy, discuss your goals, and address any questions or concerns you may have about the process. Together, we'll identify key areas of focus and develop a plan that feels supportive, collaborative, and tailored to your needs.
Strengths
My strengths include creating a safe, nonjudgmental space and balancing compassion with directness. Using a trauma-informed approach, I tailor evidence-based interventions—including EMDR, CBT, DBT, and mindfulness—to each client’s needs, goals, and strengths.
Ideal clients
I work best with individuals who are motivated to better understand themselves, navigate challenges, and create meaningful change in their lives. I particularly enjoy supporting clients experiencing trauma, chronic illness, Bipolar Disorder, and/or co-occurring mental health conditions. Whether your goal is to improve emotional regulation, heal from past experiences, strengthen relationships, or live more fully in alignment with your values, I provide a collaborative, compassionate, and direct therapeutic space to support your growth and healing.
Treatment methods
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
I use ACT to help clients navigate difficult emotions, build psychological flexibility, and take meaningful action aligned with their values. Integrated with mindfulness, ACT offers a compassionate framework for managing trauma, anxiety, chronic illness, and life transitions.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use CBT to help clients challenge unhelpful thought patterns, strengthen coping skills, and improve emotional regulation. Tailored to each client’s needs, CBT may be integrated with mindfulness, somatic techniques, and other evidence-based approaches to address anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions.
EMDR
I use EMDR, when appropriate, to help clients process traumatic experiences and reduce distress connected to painful memories. Before reprocessing begins, I prioritize trust, safety, and preparation. EMDR is tailored to each client’s readiness and goals and may be integrated with somatic and mindfulness-based techniques to support regulation, resilience, and healing.
