Hi there! I’m Tashina — a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in North Carolina and a Licensed Independent Social Worker in South Carolina. I earned my Master’s degree from North Carolina A&T (Aggie Pride!) and have been walking alongside clients on their healing journeys for over 10 years. I specialize in working with adults and teens who are navigating anxiety, depression, and PTSD. Whether you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or just ready for a change, I’m here to help you find clarity, confidence, and calm. My approach is supportive, down-to-earth, and always centered around you. Let’s work together to create space for healing and growth — and maybe even a little laughter along the way.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During our initial session, we'll discuss your goals, concerns, and any specific areas you'd like to focus on. I encourage open communication, so feel free to share as much or as little as you're comfortable with.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I specialize in fostering a warm and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel comfortable expressing their thoughts and emotions. Trust is the cornerstone of healing, and I prioritize confidentiality and empathy.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

Working with teens and adults who are carrying the weight of trauma, anxiety, or depression is truly my calling. I connect best with clients who are ready to explore their inner world, even if it feels a little messy. Whether you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or just tired of pretending everything’s fine, you don’t have to figure it out alone. I’m here to help you untangle the hard stuff and move toward healing, hope, and a more grounded version of you.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

We’ll use CBT to recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence each other. We’ll then use that knowledge to change your thinking patterns, which will help you lead a less anxious and stressed life.

Trauma Informed Care

I utilize a Trauma Informed Care modality because it recognizes the profound impact of trauma on individuals. Rather than asking, “What’s wrong with you?” it shifts the focus to, “What happened to you?” This approach prioritizes safety, trust, collaboration, empowerment, and humility.

Trauma-Focused CBT

I am nationally certified to employ Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) in treating children and adolescents. TF-CBT is a research-backed approach that helps young individuals cope with trauma by addressing their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It’s a powerful tool for healing and resilience. *Please note that I do not complete documentation for FMLA.
