Hi! My name is Tashina and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of North Carolina and a Licensed Independent Social Worker in the state of South Carolina. I received my Masters from the North Carolina Agricultural and Technical University and have been practicing for over 10 years. I help adults and adolescents struggling with anxiety, depression and PTSD.
During our initial session, we'll discuss your goals, concerns, and any specific areas you'd like to focus on. I encourage open communication, so feel free to share as much or as little as you're comfortable with.
I specialize in fostering a warm and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel comfortable expressing their thoughts and emotions. Trust is the cornerstone of healing, and I prioritize confidentiality and empathy.
Working with teens and adults facing trauma, anxiety, and depression is my calling.
We’ll use CBT to recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence each other. We’ll then use that knowledge to change your thinking patterns, which will help you lead a less anxious and stressed life.
I utilize a Trauma Informed Care modality because it recognizes the profound impact of trauma on individuals. Rather than asking, “What’s wrong with you?” it shifts the focus to, “What happened to you?” This approach prioritizes safety, trust, collaboration, empowerment, and humility.
I am nationally certified to employ Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) in treating children and adolescents. TF-CBT is a research-backed approach that helps young individuals cope with trauma by addressing their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It’s a powerful tool for healing and resilience.
