LISW-CP, 12 years of experience
Hey there! I’m Tashina — a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in North Carolina and a Licensed Independent Social Worker in South Carolina. I’m a proud graduate of North Carolina A&T (Aggie Pride!) and have spent over 10 years helping people find healing, peace, and purpose in their lives. I work with adults and teens who are dealing with anxiety, depression, or PTSD and sometimes just feeling stuck or unsure of what’s next. My style is real, relaxed, and rooted in compassion. You won’t find any stuffy therapy vibes here, just honest conversations, practical tools, and maybe a few laughs as we work toward helping you feel more grounded and confident. Let’s team up to clear out the mental clutter and make room for the life you actually want to live.
During our initial session, we'll discuss your goals, concerns, and any specific areas you'd like to focus on. I encourage open communication, so feel free to share as much or as little as you're comfortable with.
I specialize in fostering a warm and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel comfortable expressing their thoughts and emotions. Trust is the cornerstone of healing, and I prioritize confidentiality and empathy.
Working with teens and adults who are carrying the weight of trauma, anxiety, or depression is truly my calling. I connect best with clients who are ready to explore their inner world, even if it feels a little messy. Whether you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or just tired of pretending everything’s fine, you don’t have to figure it out alone. I’m here to help you untangle the hard stuff and move toward healing, hope, and a more grounded version of you.
We’ll use CBT to recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence each other. We’ll then use that knowledge to change your thinking patterns, which will help you lead a less anxious and stressed life.
I utilize a Trauma Informed Care modality because it recognizes the profound impact of trauma on individuals. Rather than asking, “What’s wrong with you?” it shifts the focus to, “What happened to you?” This approach prioritizes safety, trust, collaboration, empowerment, and humility.
I am nationally certified to employ Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) in treating children and adolescents. TF-CBT is a research-backed approach that helps young individuals cope with trauma by addressing their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It’s a powerful tool for healing and resilience. *Please note that I do not complete documentation for FMLA.

She's been such a huge part of my growth. I appreciate and look forward to our sessions. I've grown and transformed in the last year and I don't think it would have been possible without her support.
