I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) based in Maryland and I graduated with my Masters from Trinity Washington University. I bring over nine years of experience in guiding individuals toward healing and self-discovery. I specialize in helping adults navigate the complex effects of trauma, grief, and emotional burnout, with a focus on mending broken relationships and finding peace with their past.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In the beginning of our session, we’ll start by introducing ourselves and creating a comfortable environment for you. This is a chance for us to establish rapport and ensure you feel at ease in this space. Therapy is a collaborative process, and it’s important that we both have a clear understanding of what to expect. I’ll explain the structure of our sessions, confidentiality, and what our work together might look like. I want you to feel safe, heard, and understood as we move through this process. You’ll also have the opportunity to share a bit about yourself—what’s important for me to know about you as we start this journey. Once we’ve gone over the basics, we’ll dive into what brought you to therapy. This might include personal struggles, relationship issues, work-related stress, or anything else that’s causing emotional distress. A key part of our first session is setting goals for our work together. We’ll work collaboratively to identify what you’d like to achieve in therapy. This might include specific changes you want to make, ways you want to feel, or skills you want to develop.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a therapist, I believe my greatest strengths lie in creating an environment where clients feel truly seen, heard, and understood. I am committed to building strong rapport from the outset, fostering trust and openness in every session. Active listening is a cornerstone of my practice, allowing me to fully attune to the client’s needs, emotions, and experiences. This deep connection enables me to respond with empathy and insight, ensuring each individual feels valued in the therapeutic space. Cultural competence is another key strength I bring to my work. I approach each client with an understanding of their unique background, values, and experiences, ensuring that the care I provide is respectful, relevant, and inclusive. I’m flexible in my therapeutic approach, tailoring interventions to meet the individual needs of each client while maintaining a focus on their goals and priorities. Empowerment is central to my practice. I strive to support clients in rediscovering their inner strengths and building confidence in their own ability to navigate challenges. I believe in a non-judgmental, patient, and supportive approach, allowing clients to explore their feelings and experiences at their own pace, free from fear of criticism. Through this, I aim to foster an environment where healing and growth can occur naturally, and clients feel empowered to take an active role in their journey.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I offer a supportive, person-centered, and trauma-informed approach to therapy, tailoring each session to meet the unique needs of my clients. My practice is rooted in cultural competence, ensuring that individuals from diverse backgrounds feel understood, respected, and empowered. I am certified in grief and trauma and work extensively with clients facing challenges such as mood disorders (including depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder), PTSD, and the overwhelming stress of burnout. I believe in creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where healing can begin. Together, we will explore your experiences, build on your strengths, and work toward creating lasting change and peace in your life.
