Hello! I am a Maryland based LCSW-C and have been licensed since 2015. I obtained my undergraduate at The University of Georgia with a B.S in Psychology and minor in Child and Family Development. Afterwards I entered the University of Georgia's Graduate program where I earned a double masters in Social Work and Public Health with a master's certificate in Non-Profit Management. During my time studying to obtain my degrees I stayed busy at work working in research to understand the mental and physical effects that socioeconomics place on the child and family. I also worked as a paraprofessional implementing therapeutic practices under the supervision of licensed therapists giving me a total of 11 years in direct practice with children and families. Finally, I also worked in the Department of Social Services giving me a unique perspective and experience in understanding the laws, policies, and system based interventions statewide symptoms can have both positive and negative on families. This first hand knowledge allows me to be a strong advocate for my clients in them understanding their rights as a parent and services their children are entitled to within their state. After I obtained my dual masters, I moved to Maryland to focus on my clinical skills where I have completed hundreds of hours in trainings geared towards early childhood development and family systems before moving into the medical based practice of social work. I have worked with many families to begin the process of understanding their child, meeting their need, and engaging in effective interventions that meet everyone's needs.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session I will do a thorough evaluation and review your initial goals for therapy. We will go over expectations and how we can make teletherapy work for you and your child.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Having worked primarily with children and families for over 8 years I am poised to assess your child’s needs and assist you with connecting and understanding their needs to create a more harmonious relationship. I am also highly skilled at making teletherapy work for the earliest of kiddos and your family.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I love working with children and families with children ages 0-11. If you are a parent that has a child with a chronic medical condition and looking for support I would love to work with you and your family. If your child is struggling with what you think could be a developmental delay, symptoms of ADHD, Autism, or Sensory Processing Disorders perhaps I could be of assistance and support. If you are struggling with being a parent and are wanting a family centered approach I would love to work with you and your family.
