One of my biggest passions in life is helping women, overcome past hurts, failures, ineffective communication, and self-defeating behaviors, which limits their forward momentum. I also work with young adults and men, as they grapple with challenges such as: relationships, communication difficulties and life transitions. I help my clients explore childhood experiences, defense mechanisms, and survival tools that once worked, but now as adults, they are disruptive to their adult self and relationships. I am here to listen and help you find ways to walk in your authentic self, no longer bound by guilt and shame. I strive to create a compassionate atmosphere, judgment free and safe space, as you work through depression, anxiety, disappointment, low self-esteem, co-dependency and other issues that can be debilitating. I empower, encourage, listen and help you identify your values. I appreciate this new reality where mental health is no longer being swept under the carpet, instead people are coming out to tell their stories and are seeking assistance to deal with their hurts and pain. If you are ready to work with someone as you tackle these issues and you are ready to exhale and be able to say, "At Last I'm Free" take your first step, pick up the phone and schedule a consultation with me. You don't have to walk this healing journey alone, just be ready to do the work!
In the first session we will do introductions and get started with what your issues are. You have been in this place long enough, let's get to work to get you back on the road to being the best version of yourself. This will also let me know what your priorities and goals are.
My greatest strength as a provider is creating a compassionate, honest and open atmosphere. I challenge and push you to go deeper. I help you build upon your strengths and help you find your voice to ask for what you need.
I love working with clients who are eager for change and improvement! Persons who aren't afraid to be vulnerable, honest and open to doing the hard work. You may not know where to start to pick up the pieces, you may feel anxious or stuck, that's okay, just be willing to go through the process and see what is on the other side. Be eager for change!
I incorporate biblical frameworks according to the comfort level of my clients. Clients can request a biblical framework or choose to exclude it from their sessions.
I use a combination of treatment methods to help meet the needs of each individual client.
I help clients identify cognitive distortions, challenge negative thoughts, cognitive restructuring, etc.
I help couples improve their communication by being honest, transparent and respectful.
I use DBT worksheets to assist clients with homework assignments to improve interpersonal amd effective communication.
