Hi, I’m Genevie. I am a licensed mental health professional with over seven years of experience supporting individuals, couples, and families through their healing journey. My practice is centered on authenticity, unconditional positive regard, and creating a safe space where you can feel heard and understood. I specialize in trauma and have extensive experience working with clients across the lifespan from children as young as five to adults in their 60s to 70s. My background includes working with children, teens, and adults navigating ADHD, autism, grief and loss, terminal illness, family system challenges, and co-occurring disorders. I also work with couples and families to strengthen communication, boundaries, and connection. In therapy, I draw from multiple approaches including client-centered therapy, CBT, and family systems perspectives. I tailor treatment to the unique needs of each client, whether that means helping someone process trauma, manage symptoms of anxiety or depression, or navigate life transitions such as job changes, relationship difficulties, or significant loss. I believe deeply in the power of the therapeutic relationship. Healing happens when people feel safe, respected, and supported in their growth. My role is to walk alongside you, collaborating on your goals, and helping you build tools for resilience, clarity, and long-term well-being.
Starting therapy can feel both hopeful and uncertain, so I aim to make our first session as comfortable and supportive as possible. We’ll spend time getting to know each other and talking about what brought you here, your current concerns, and what you’d like to work toward. I’ll also ask some background questions to better understand your history, strengths, and challenges, but you’re always free to share at your own pace. The first session is less about “fixing everything” and more about creating a foundation for our work together. You’ll get a sense of my style, which is authentic, compassionate, and collaborative and I’ll explain how therapy can be tailored to meet your needs. Together, we’ll begin outlining your goals and talk about what approaches may be most helpful, whether that’s processing trauma, addressing anxiety or depression, navigating relationship issues, or building coping strategies for daily life. My priority is that you leave the first session feeling heard, respected, and with a clearer idea of what our work together will look like moving forward.
I operate from an integrative approach that is client centered based. You are the expert of your life and we collaborating together to get to a better place of healing.
I would say my greatest strength is being authentic and transparent with my clients. I believe therapy works best when it feels like a genuine human connection, not a scripted process. I am open about the fact that healing is not always linear, some sessions may feel lighter, while others may involve the hard work of unpacking emotions or memories that can feel exhausting. What clients often find helpful is that I create a space where all of that is okay. Whether you need to process something deeply painful, gain practical tools, or simply have a safe place to unload, I meet you with compassion and honesty. My role is to walk alongside you, helping you stay grounded through the ups and downs of the therapeutic journey while keeping your long-term goals in focus.
I work best with clients who want a safe and honest space to sort through life’s challenges. Many of the people I see are coping with trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, ADHD, autism, or relationship stress. I also work with children, teens, and families who want to improve communication, set healthier boundaries, or manage conflict in a more supportive way. My approach fits clients who are looking for a real, down-to-earth connection and who are open to working together at their own pace. Therapy with me is about building understanding, finding practical tools, and creating lasting change that feels manageable.

Genevie has been an amazing provider. She is a warm human being who has an open minded approach to therapy. She challenges us both evenly, never taking a side, and getting us to acknowledge the other's point of view. We have recommended her to many people and will continue to sing her praises.
