New to Grow
I am a therapist who provides a supportive, collaborative, and goal-oriented space for adults and older adults. For more than 10 years, I have worked with older adults across a variety of settings, helping individuals navigate life transitions, aging-related challenges, emotional stress, health concerns, grief, and changes in independence or relationships. This experience has given me a deep understanding of the unique emotional and practical needs that can arise throughout adulthood and later life. I focus on helping clients build coping skills, strengthen resilience, and improve overall well-being while creating a space where they feel heard, respected, and empowered. My goal is to help clients make meaningful progress, improve daily functioning, and feel more confident in managing life’s challenges.
During the first session, clients can expect a supportive and welcoming environment where we begin getting to know one another. We will discuss what brings you to therapy, your current concerns, personal history, strengths, and the goals you would like to work toward. This session is also an opportunity for you to ask questions and share what you hope to gain from therapy. My goal during the first session is to help you feel comfortable, understood, and supported while we begin developing a plan tailored to your needs. Together, we will identify areas of focus and discuss practical steps that can help you move toward meaningful and lasting change.
My greatest strengths as a therapist are my ability to build strong, trusting relationships and create a space where clients feel heard, supported, and respected. I bring patience, empathy, and over 10 years of experience working with adults and older adults facing a wide range of life challenges and transitions. My therapy approach is collaborative, goal-oriented, and rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy. I help clients identify unhelpful patterns, develop practical coping skills, and build on their existing strengths to create meaningful change. I work closely with clients to develop realistic strategies that support emotional well-being, resilience, and improved daily functioning.
I work best with adults and older adults experiencing anxiety, stress, or life transitions, including changes related to aging, health, or relationships. Many feel stuck or overwhelmed and are looking for practical ways to manage emotions and improve daily functioning. I support clients who are open to a collaborative, goal-oriented process. Together, we focus on clear goals, build on strengths, and create realistic steps toward meaningful, lasting change.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help adults and older adults understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I work collaboratively with clients to identify unhelpful thinking patterns, build practical coping skills, and improve emotional regulation in ways that support daily functioning and long-term well-being.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
I also incorporate a Solution-Focused approach, helping clients clarify their goals and build on existing strengths. With adults and older adults, this means focusing on what is working, developing realistic steps forward, and fostering a sense of progress, confidence, and purpose.
