Hello! I’m Victoria. Life and relationships can become challenging. Do you find that you are struggling individually or struggling with your relationship with a significant other or family? I have been working with individuals, couples, and families for over 12 years. I thoroughly enjoy collaborating with my clients and discovering solutions to the barriers that they are facing. Some of those barriers may include relationship distress, depression, anxiety, recent loss, stage of life transition, etc. My goal is to provide a safe and judgment-free space so that we can collaborate and discover solutions together. I look forward to meeting you!
By the end of our first session, we will have identified a measurable goal to work towards throughout treatment. This is developed with you and can always be modified along the way. The important thing is that our goal is mutually understood and reachable.
I operate from a systemic lens. I believe that all systems impact our overall well-being. That can include family and friends, work environment, living environment, and social supports. Those systems can impact us positively and sometimes negatively. I like to explore the barriers that exist within those systems and how to best navigate them with you. The primary therapeutic model I utilize is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy which focuses on the connection between our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Every session will focus on strengths, barriers, existing coping skills and needed coping skills. In addition, I utilize a Trauma Informed Care approach. Other areas of focus I like to highlight are overall wellness (physical and emotional health), boundary setting, and effective communication.
Throughout my different roles (direct care and leadership) within the mental health field, I have excelled at connecting to people. I thoroughly enjoy getting to know individuals, discovering their strengths, and helping them get to a place to face challenges with their natural supports.
