I bring my neurodivergent, chronically ill, and PTSD identities to this work, and I am passionate about supporting those most affected by life's curveballs, specifically those dealing with chronic pain/illness, using various treatment modalities and maintaining current knowledge of behavioral health. I have a strong interest in somatic experiencing and trauma, with plans to further my training and respect its ancestral roots and lineage. As someone with a background both personally and professionally shaped by trauma, I am dedicated to practicing therapy in a strengths-based and trauma-informed manner.
In our first session, it's important for us to get to know each other so we can start building a connection. I promise this won't be an interview, but I want to ask questions about you and your life, how you cope, and what brought you to therapy. It's important that you know that you don't have to divulge any personal information you're not ready to talk about yet.
Having worked with all types of people in the mental health field, my strength resides in generating an open and attentive space for people to be authentically themselves.
I am interested in working with those who are navigating the multiples losses associated with chronic illness/pain as well as other life transitions, and invested in their growth & dedicated to their healing journey.
I believe in a personalized and holistic approach to therapy, so treatment will be as eclectic as the issues we explore. You can expect humanistic, somatic, compassion-focused, trauma informed, strengths based, narrative, & psychodynamic therapies to be weaved throughout. This flexible approach allows us to collaborate and tend to the unique & complex needs of your mind, body, & soul.
