New to Grow
I have 16-years of social work experience and 8-years experience as a licensed therapist. It is a privilege to support adults at all stages of recovery or who are trying to improve their relationship to drugs or alcohol. I have worked with patients in; public health hospitals, substance use treatment programs and remotely. In 2021 I trained to support patients in Chronic pain in order to improve their quality of life. I've found that the same tools have also been effective for adults trying to reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression. I live in the Bay Area and I identify as mixed race.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In a first session we will get to know one another to determine if we would be a right fit to work together. I hope you will feel heard, accepted and supported. I hope I will be able to ask thoughtful questions that allow you to explore your unique circumstances and help you find solutions. I hope you will feel empowered as you move forward and attempt improve your quality of life.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
I believe in change. I believe people can grow and heal and improve their lives. I have watched family members get free from addiction. I love supporting people on their journey towards greater health and wellness.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
CBT is a collaborative, action oriented and evidence-based method to help clients recognize and change unhelpful thinking patterns and behaviors to improve their wellbeing.
Mind-body approach
Mind Body tools help to calm the mind and relax the body and can strengthen the connection between thoughts, emotions and physical health to optimize wellness. They can reduce stress, reduce symptoms of anxiety, improve sleep and reduce physical pain.
