New to Grow
I’m a dedicated mental health and substance use therapist committed to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with clarity and resilience. I work with clients who are facing anxiety, depression, trauma, or struggles with addiction, offering a supportive and nonjudgmental space for healing and growth. My goal is to help you build practical coping skills, strengthen self-awareness, and create meaningful, lasting change so you can move toward a healthier, more balanced life.
Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and begin building a foundation of trust. We’ll talk about what brings you in, what challenges you’ve been facing, and what you hope to get out of therapy. You can share as much or as little as you feel comfortable, there’s no pressure to have everything figured out. I’ll also ask some questions about your history, including your mental health, substance use (if relevant), relationships, and any past experiences that may be important to your care. This helps me understand the full picture so we can create a plan that’s tailored to your needs. We’ll go over things like confidentiality, how sessions work, and answer any questions you may have. By the end of the session, we’ll start identifying goals and next steps so you leave with a clearer sense of direction. Most importantly, this is your space, my role is to support you in a way that feels safe, respectful, and aligned with your goals.
My greatest strength as a therapist is my ability to create a space where clients feel genuinely seen, heard, and respected, without judgment. I take a collaborative, person-centered approach, meeting you where you are while also helping you move toward meaningful change at a pace that feels right for you. I integrate evidence-based practices with real-world practicality, helping you not only understand your thoughts and behaviors, but also develop tools you can actually use in everyday life. My work is trauma-informed and grounded in empathy, which is especially important when supporting clients navigating both mental health and substance use challenges. I also bring a strong focus on accountability and growth. While I offer compassion and support, I’m not afraid to gently challenge patterns that may be holding you back. This balance helps clients build insight, confidence, and lasting change, so progress doesn’t just happen in session, but carries into their daily lives.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approach because it focuses on the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, helping clients understand how negative thinking patterns can influence how they feel and act. CBT is practical, structured, and goal-oriented, which makes it effective for addressing a wide range of concerns such as anxiety, depression, and stress. I prefer using CBT because it equips individuals with concrete skills and strategies they can apply in their daily lives, promoting long-term change and self-awareness. It also emphasizes collaboration, allowing me to work alongside clients in a supportive, solution-focused way that empowers them to take an active role in their progress.
