Hi, I'm Peter. Providing remote therapy sessions is both what I do for a living and something I really enjoy, being able to get to know and help a wide variety of people from wherever each of us is most comfortable. I'll most likely be set up in my house in a private office room in a comfortable recliner. How will you be situated for our conversation?
We'll start with normal introductions, and I'd like to get to know you by asking a few questions. You're welcome to ask me questions as well. You're not obligated to answer anything you prefer not to discuss, but the more you're willing to share, the more I can understand your life experience and be best equipped to provide insight and advice.
I'm generally a laid-back person, and I aim to make my clients as comfortable as possible in talking to me. If you're wondering whether you should share something, it's always safe to be open with me. I've heard a ton of stories, some of which involve painful, traumatic, or embarrassing experiences. I strive to not judge, and you probably won't shock me. As each person is unique, I adapt my approach to the individual in ways that I feel will be most helpful.
I am open to nearly any client who has challenges they're motivated to seek help for. As a client, as long as you have the mindset that we can work together on figuring out ways to improve your life, this will set things for up for a positive experience in therapy and a better chance of achieving your goals. We're looking for progress, not perfection.

Sometimes you don't need as much of a detailed analysis or a solution to things but rather just a listening ear, non-judgmental responses, and someone who cares. If this is more of what you're looking for, I'm happy to oblige.

I've worked with many couples before, helping to navigate the differences in the way each person sees the issues, helping find common ground and things to build on, and really just tailoring the approach to each unique couple and the dynamics between them.
