Therapy is a wonderful place to start understanding yourself and work toward transformational growth. With a trauma-informed and gentle approach, I empower individuals to uncover their strengths and shift their lives/relationships in a more positive, authentic direction. I believe in providing compassionate and nonjudgmental support, creating the safety for others to explore areas in their lives that could be working better and assist them in developing the fulfillment, mindfulness, awareness and skills to change their circumstances and create a more joyful life. My certifications include EMDR, CBT, and CPT. I specialize in treating issues related to PTSD, anxiety, depression, body image/eating disorders, and domestic violence. Due to my passion in these areas, I have spent many years of my life volunteering and advocating in regard to these issues. I believe healing and change is possible for anyone when they feel they are in a compassionate, trusting therapeutic relationship where they feel safe. I will work hard to create this environment for you, so that you feel secure enough to explore the root of any suffering, and capable enough to find the freedom and life that awaits you on the other side.
In our first session, we will be talking about your goals and create a plan that makes sense to you. We'll always be checking in and re-assessing this to make sure we're on track and suiting your needs in therapy.
I use Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, somatic coping skills.
One of my biggest strengths is creating and providing emotional safety and a nonjudgmental space.
