I'm a clinical social worker with over 10 years of experience providing counseling to children, teens, and adults. I have a upbeat, creative, warm and non-judgmental personality which clients report make it easy and natural to open up to me. I believe that therapy is an avenue to self improvement, healing and transformation. I see myself as a guide who supports clients in their journey of personal and emotional growth. I help clients become more self-aware, improve self regulation and coping skills, heal from previous stressful/traumatic experiences, enhance their communication skills, and understand their emotions at a deeper level. I use traditional counseling techniques such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing and solution-focused therapy, as well as complementary therapy approaches such as mindfulness and meditation to help clients work towards greater happiness.
We will spend some time getting to know each other at the initial session. I will ask questions to help me understand your life situation, mental health concerns and therapy goals. We will make a plan of what treatment goals you would like to focus on first and what steps we will take to accomplish them.
I'm a spiritual and highly empathetic person. I was naturally drawn to becoming a therapist due to interest in helping and healing others. I empower my clients to make changes to improve their lives and have great success stories of people who truly transformed their lives while working with me.
I see clients across the lifespan and provide counseling to children, adolescents and adults. I have 12 years of counseling experience and have provided therapy to a diverse group of clients over the years with many different issues.

I help clients become more aware of how their thinking effects their mood and behavior. I help clients recognize negative thought patterns that are negatively effecting their perceptions. I assist clients in helping them change these patterns through cognitive restructure and reframing.
I weave mindfulness principles into my therapy approach including: nonjudgment, acceptance, curiosity, openness, and non-striving. I also help clients become more objective about negative thoughts and help them learn how to reduce over processing. Additionally, I teach my clients mindfulness techniques to improve stress management and relaxation.
