Are you struggling with managing your daily life, work stress, or relationships? Have you recently experienced loss or trauma? Are you dealing with health or aging issues for yourself or a loved one? You may feel overwhelmed by your thoughts, feelings, moods and emotions? Or feel as though you are struggling as a parent? Maybe you feel like you could use some support and coping mechanisms. In treatment, we can work together to help you find inner clarity and peace, confidence, long-lasting skills and strategies. This can improve your overall well-being, and your relationships, and improve your ability to cope with life stressors. I have treated men and women dealing with a range of concerns including parenting skills, career training, abuse and trauma, grief and everyday life stress. I enjoy mixing different methods including yoga and meditation with conversation to empower my clients and get to the root of the struggle. I believe that therapy is a collaborative effort and strive to help my clients get the best outcomes from our time together.
In the first session together, we will start with a brief introduction and some background information. From there we will discuss the challenges you feel as though you are facing. This will allow me to create a plan tailored to your needs.
My therapeutic style utilizes a supportive, strength-based approach. I utilize a combination of psychodynamic, person-centered, CBT, and mindfulness approaches to best fit my client's needs for short-term or long-term therapy.
I have experience treating individuals, geriatrics, adolescents, families, and couples. I am certified in health and aging, and grief. I am also dementia certified. I have spent several years supporting families who are struggling with their health or the health of their loved ones. Additionally, I am a trauma-informed therapist and I have experience working with women and men who have suffered domestic trauma.
I have had the pleasure of working with ages 6-101 and have a great understanding of different phases of life.
