"Welcome to the stigma-free zone!" Latifah Griffin is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Pennsylvania and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Florida, who has 13 years of experience in the mental health field. Latifah specializes in helping adults, children, and adolescents. She works with these individuals on mindfulness, mood disorders, child-parent relationships, anxiety, bereavement, depression, anger management, and LGBTQ concerns.
During the first session, I explain who I am and how I work...and then the focus is on you. I work really hard to help CT's establish goals in the initial session.
Although Latifah is rooted in choice theory, which emphasizes a need for love, belonging, freedom, fun, power, and survival as a means of fulfillment, she has an eclectic approach that integrates all aspects of the person (physical, mental, spiritual) as she recognizes each person needs a personalized plan of care.
I am a pastoral counselor by training, so I have a spiritual integration that I bring to the room. I'm non-judgmental. It's your life, I just want to help you live your best one. I am also a minister and can marry and bury folks.
