Hello! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Indiana. I received my Masters of Social Work at Indiana University and have been practicing for 7 years. With a background working in nonprofit, school, and private practice settings I have worked with a wide variety of clients. The majority of my work has focused on grief and loss, depression, and anxiety as well as trauma and life changes.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our first session together, I want to get to know you. I want to hear how you are currently struggling, learn about your family, your past, and your strengths. We will work together to craft the focus and goals you have for therapy and how those goals can be best achieved.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
Having worked in a variety of settings in the last several years I have had the pleasure of working with a variety of individuals. I am able to meet a client where they are currently at, not expecting them to be anywhere else, and work at their pace.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I have a history of working with and enjoy working with clients who are struggling while also understanding there is more to life and want to achieve it. Clients who understand they are not where they want to be but have the capacity within them to get there. The moment when a client comes to a realization in a session that they have had within the strength they've been looking for, and just needed a little extra help, is the moment I feel my work is most valued.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Educating clients about and utilizing the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors to develop coping skills and create solutions to current challenges.
Strength-Based
Focus on client's existing strengths and resiliency to assist them in addressing current challenges.
