With over 11 years of experience in the mental health field, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC) with a Master’s Degree in Clinical/Counseling Psychology. I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals facing a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, identity development, crisis management, addiction, and major life transitions. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that meaningful change is possible with the right support. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their experiences, build resilience, and reconnect with their sense of purpose. I am passionate about helping individuals navigate the complexities of life with confidence and self-compassion. Outside the therapy room, I’m an animal lover and avid traveler who believes the best gifts are those that can be experienced. I enjoy staying active, indulging in Italian cuisine, and unwinding with a captivating book or movie. I’m a strong advocate for self-care and believe that achieving balance is essential to overall well-being. "You're Braver than you believe. Stronger than you seem. and Smarter than you think." - A.A. In our first session together, we’ll focus on understanding your expectations and your reasons for seeking counseling at this time. I’ll ask for some background information, and I’ll also share a bit about myself and my counseling style. I believe that taking the time to get to know one another helps us build a foundation of trust and understanding. This conversation will allow us to explore what working together might look like and how we can best support your goals.
Over the past few years, I’ve found myself increasingly drawn to working with young adults. This phase of life is often marked by rapid change, heightened expectations, and a growing sense of responsibility—all of which can feel overwhelming without the right support systems in place. The pressures and stressors that emerge during this transitional period are both unique and deeply personal. I believe it is essential to provide young adults with a supportive space where they can explore these challenges, develop healthy coping strategies, and gain the tools they need to thrive in their daily lives.
I specialize in working with Young Adults (18–30) and Adults (30–60) who are seeking therapy to deepen self-awareness, build emotional resilience, and cultivate practical life skills. Whether you're navigating life transitions, career challenges, relationship dynamics, or simply looking for a space where your needs are seen and supported — therapy with me is designed to help you grow with intention. I offer a compassionate, collaborative space where your goals and growth are the priority. Together, we work to explore patterns, develop insight, and strengthen your ability to live with clarity and purpose.
I gravitate towards using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) because it emphasizes the powerful connection between our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. In my work, I’ve found that helping clients recognize and challenge unhelpful thinking patterns can lead to meaningful changes in emotional well-being and behavior. CBT provides practical tools that allow individuals to re-frame negative thoughts, develop healthier coping strategies, and build greater self-awareness—all of which are integral to the therapeutic process! It's a core approach I return to often in sessions because of its clarity, structure, and lasting impact.
I use Compassion Focused Care because I believe that connecting and developing rapport through kindness, compassion, empathy, and validation is fundamental to any therapeutic exchange! This approach creates a safe and supportive environment where individuals feel seen, heard, and valued—especially when they are at their most vulnerable! Compassion helps ease shame and fear; while also fostering trust and openness. By meeting others with genuine warmth and understanding, I aim to support their healing in a way that honors their dignity and strengthens their sense of self-worth.
I use Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), incorporating structured skills training to help individuals deepen their insight into thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Through consistent practice of DBT skills—such as mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness—clients are empowered to understand their inner experiences and respond in healthier, more intentional ways.
