I have been a social worker for over 30 years. I received my bachelor's degree in psychology from Touro College and my master's degree in social work from Boston University. Most of my professional life has been working in a community mental health agency serving vulnerable children and families. In 2021, I began providing therapy full-time. My specialties are working with depression, anxiety, disability issues, adults, older adults and the LGBTQIA+ population. My goal is to help you feel better. I believe that self-care is crucial in becoming well and will support you in finding ways to do so. I am committed to providing a space where you can be your authentic self. I am open to working with many types of issues that adults face in their lives. I believe that kindness and empathy are important factors in therapy. My work is infused with and inspired by Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP), Cognitive-Behavior Therapy, art/creativity, spirituality, meditation, 12-Step programs, Motivational Interviewing, and more. I appreciate feedback about what is and is not working to guide your journey.

My specialties are working with depression, anxiety, disability issues, adults, older adults and the LGBTQIA+ population.

It is my honor to support you in coping with the difficulties you are facing. I promise to be compassionate and dedicated to serving your needs. Please reach out to see if we would be a good fit to work on achieving your goals.

First session

The first session is a chance for us to get to know one another and see if we can work well together. The therapeutic relationship is so important in the healing process. If it seems that someone else may serve your needs, I can help you connect with that person. If we do work together, you will find me to be easygoing, accepting, and willing to meet you where you are.

Strengths

I believe that kindness and empathy are important factors in therapy. I love to share information with people, so you can expect that I will tell you about resources in the community and things you can do to enhance your growth outside of our sessions.
