Joana Cuevas
Child and Family Therapy has been my passion for nearly 20 years. Many families I have worked with just wanted their child to feel better and happier. Families felt they had tried everything and did not know what else to do. There is never one specific problem or one specific solution.
Families are as multi-faceted as we are as individuals and can be affected by many factors.
Families are as multi-faceted as we are as individuals and can be affected by many factors. Commitment to and consistency in treatment is the key but what do we do when life keeps getting in the way? Seeking help and guidance can be challenging but is always the best first step. I would be honored to help guide you through the next steps.
First session
During our initial session, I complete a thorough interview by gathering personal and family history to determine factors that may be contributing to your identified issue. Together, we can develop a treatment goal to determine what it would look and feel like when the issue has improved and/or resolved. Finally, we can discuss and develop a treatment plan to help to get you feeling better.
Strengths
By completing a comprehensive intake during our first meeting, I will be able to get to know you and/or your family better to discuss and determine what treatment modality will be most effective at attaining the outcome you are seeking so.... Come in! Let's talk! Let me get to know you better so we can figure out together how to reach the goal you want to meet for you and/or your family.
