New to Grow
I’m a licensed clinical social worker with experience serving individuals across the lifespan, from children as young as nine to older adults. My background includes weekly outpatient therapy, IIC services, IOP substance use treatment, and case management in an acute care setting. I view therapy as a collaborative partnership, using a direct and compassionate approach to help you navigate difficult transitions and build a clear path forward.
A first session will be an introduction where we begin rapport building. We will discuss how therapy works, confidentiality, and review what brought you to therapy. It will also include gathering background information—life history, current stressors, symptoms, and goals.
I bring both my professional training and lived experience into a practice rooted in empathy, cultural awareness, and respect for human diversity. I strive to create a safe and affirming space where clients can explore their thoughts and emotions without fear of judgment. My approach to therapy is collaborative and adaptable, I view therapy as a partnership grounded in authenticity, compassion, and mutual respect.
When I think of the ideal client, it is someone who understands that change takes effort and honesty, and they’re committed to showing up consistently, engaging in the process, and taking what they learn in session into their everyday life. There is also an understanding that growth requires honesty, reflection, and a willingness to acknowledge and address patterns that may be difficult to face.
I use CBT by helping clients identify the thoughts, beliefs, and interpretations that shape how they feel and behave. I work with them to examine whether those thoughts are accurate, helpful, or aligned with their goals. I guide clients in challenging unhelpful patterns, practicing more balanced thinking, and trying new behaviors outside of session. Over time, I help them learn to notice their triggers, interrupt automatic reactions, and respond in ways that feel more intentional and grounded.
