Whether it’s anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, trauma, grief, stress - everyone has times in their life where they struggle. I have over 18 years experience working with individuals, couples and families, helping them work through challenges, develop better coping strategies and move to a place where they feel happier and more grounded. I’ve worked in a number of settings, from children’s mental health, hospitals, family medicine counseling centers and private practice.
When I see clients in therapy, I offer a nurturing, non-judgemental, collaborative and supportive space where they can talk about their experiences and, together, we can begin to work towards making changes to alleviate symptoms and improve their lives. I see clients as the experts in their own lives and see my role as one of consultant and collaborator.
I use a number of different evidence-based treatment modalities depending on my clients' needs. Having lived, trained and practiced in Canada for most of my life, I am a recent transplant to Texas. I welcome individuals of all cultures, religious beliefs, sexual orientations and gender identification.
