Hi! My name is Kristi Hutchinson. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Texas. I have worked in mental health for seven years with diverse populations in various settings. I am passionate about empowering individuals to lead fulfilling lives. I believe in creating a supportive therapeutic environment where clients can explore their challenges and achieve meaningful growth.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Our first meeting will be a 'Get to Know You' session, where we will start exploring your therapy goals. My goal is to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you can freely share and explore your vulnerabilities. I believe that a strong client-therapist relationship is key to a successful therapeutic experience. As your therapist, I will provide empathy and supportive guidance while empowering and challenging you to grow.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strength as a mental health clinician lies in my ability to truly listen and create a safe, non-judgmental space where clients feel heard and understood.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

My practices focuses on using evidence-based and trauma-informed interventions to meet you where you are. My goal is to help you implement healthy coping strategies into your daily life and strengthen your ability to achieve balance through emotional wholeness and well-being. I use a holistic approach and trauma-informed care that focuses on your mental health journey as the whole person—body, mind, and spirit.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy helps you become aware of inaccurate or negative thinking so you can view challenging situations more clearly and respond to them in a more effective way. This treatment approach aims to reduce the symptoms of many mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, PTSD and others.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Solution-Focused Brief Therapy helps clients identify their strengths and resources, focusing on problem-solving rather than the problem itself. We explore past successes and alternative perspectives to empower clients to create practical steps toward their goals. This approach encourages a future-focused mindset, enabling clients to move through their challenges with confidence.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

In therapy, I use a trauma-informed, person-centered approach, which means that you are seen as the expert in your own life. Your experiences, feelings, and insights are valued, and we work together to explore and understand what’s best for your healing and growth. This approach may involve gently challenging negative thoughts and navigating personal conflicts, helping you gain clarity and insight into how you can move forward in a way that feels right for you. The goal is to help you feel supported and empowered, building your confidence in making decisions that promote your well-being and overall growth. I prioritize your safety, autonomy, and healing throughout the process.

Christian Counseling

Drawing from my personal experience of using faith-based strengths to navigate life's challenges, I incorporate biblical principles into my practice, blending spirituality with therapeutic techniques to help clients cope with life's stressors.
