Welcome! I am licensed to provide therapy in the states of North Carolina and Florida. I have 6+ years experience as a therapist and 10+ years experience working in the mental health field. I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, EMDR, and Mindfulness-Based strategies. My approach to therapy is warm and collaborative. My goal is to support you in easing anxiety, quieting self-doubt, and building a more grounded and compassionate relationship with yourself. Currently, services are only being offered online via a HIPAA compliant Telehealth platform.
Together we'll explore ways to quiet the self-doubt, ease anxiety, and build emotional resilience in a way that feels safe and supportive. My treatment style is rooted in a person centered approach where the client’s strengths and interests are identified and utilized. The first session includes an intake assessment to help us understand your history, current concerns, and supports.
I believe therapy works best in a space that feels safe, non-judgmental, and emotionally supportive, where clients can show up as they are and grow at their own pace. I especially connect with clients who are emotionally aware (or becoming more aware), sensitive, and open to exploring their inner world with curiosity and honesty. My style is warm, down to earth, and sometimes playful, which often helps clients who feel deeply or tend to overthink feel more at ease in session. You don't have to carry everything alone- I'm here to help.
I specialize in working with highly sensitive people (HSPs), those struggling with anxiety, and individuals that feel emotionally fragile or misunderstood. If you feel deeply, overthink everything, or get overwhelmed easily, you're not alone. I believe in creating a safe and supportive space while tailoring treatment to each individual's unique needs. I provide trauma-informed care to people of all ages seeking to stop being trapped in the pain of the past.

EMDR
I completed EMDR training through EMDRIA in 2022. EMDR works to heal the emotions, thoughts, beliefs, and behaviors that occur after experiencing a traumatic event.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
Mindfulness is used throughout therapy in combination with other modalities. Mindfulness is about paying attention to the present moment as opposed to the internal and external chaos that can occur on a day to day basis.

Janae was wonderful! This was my first try at therapy after a while, so I was very nervous, but she was so welcoming and easy to talk to. Very much looking forward to next time.
