I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Perinatal Mental Health Provider (PMH-C) with over 10 years of experience supporting children and adults through mental health challenges, trauma, substance use, and major life transitions. As a mother of two young children, I’m especially passionate about helping parents navigate the overwhelming and often unexpected shift into parenthood. I’m dedicated to helping clients work through the challenges they face so they can begin to feel like themselves again. I provide services to clients in Lake County in person and across California virtually.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, my main priority is getting to know you and beginning to build a genuine connection rooted in trust, safety, and a completely nonjudgmental space. You’ll have the opportunity to share your story at your own pace—there’s no pressure, just a conversation where I’m truly listening and seeking to understand you and what you’ve been going through. Every client’s experience is unique, and I approach our work together with curiosity, compassion, and a deep respect for your story as we begin to identify what you need and how I can support you.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What stands out about my approach is the strong focus on progress and meaningful change. While I provide a supportive and nonjudgmental space, I also work collaboratively with you to identify patterns, build practical skills, and apply what we discuss in your daily life. My goal is for you to leave sessions not only feeling heard, but also with clear direction, tools you can use, and a sense that real progress is happening.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I support adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and challenges related to identity, relationships, and overall well-being. I have specialized experience working with women during pregnancy and postpartum, as well as parents of young children who are adjusting to the emotional and practical demands of parenthood. My approach is a good fit for clients who want both a supportive, validating space and practical tools to feel more grounded, confident, and connected to themselves. People often come to me when they are… ✓ Feeling easily agitated, overwhelmed, or noticing a "short fuse" that feels unlike yourself. ✓ Experiencing a sense of being frozen, stuck, or feeling disconnected from the world around you. ✓ Carrying heavy burdens of shame, guilt, or the painful worry that you are struggling to be the parent you want to be. ✓ Navigating intrusive thoughts and the persistent "what if" questions that disrupt your peace of mind. ✓ Feeling isolated and unsupported, as though you are managing life’s greatest challenges entirely alone. ✓ Struggling with constant exhaustion and the inability to find restorative, restful sleep.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns that contribute to anxiety, depression, and stress. I support clients in developing more balanced thinking and practical coping strategies to improve mood and daily functioning. In practice, I tailor CBT interventions to each client’s needs, incorporating techniques such as thought reframing, behavioral activation, and skill-building to create meaningful, lasting change.

Attachment-based

I use an attachment-based approach to support perinatal clients in understanding how their early relationships and current experiences shape their emotional responses, relationships, and transition into parenthood. I help clients explore patterns of connection, strengthen bonding with their baby, and process fears, anxiety, or past attachment wounds that may arise during this time. In practice, I provide a safe, attuned space while incorporating interventions that promote secure attachment, emotional regulation, and confidence in their role as a parent.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-i)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) to help clients understand and change the thoughts and behaviors that interfere with healthy sleep. I guide clients in developing consistent sleep routines, improving sleep efficiency, and reducing anxiety around sleep. In practice, I tailor CBT-I techniques such as stimulus control, sleep restriction, and cognitive restructuring to support sustainable, restorative sleep.

EMDR

I use Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to help clients process and resolve distressing or traumatic experiences that continue to impact their daily lives. I support clients in safely accessing and reprocessing these memories so they are no longer as emotionally overwhelming or disruptive. In practice, I follow a structured, trauma-informed approach to promote adaptive resolution, reduce symptoms, and support lasting emotional relief.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I incorporate mindfulness-based techniques to help clients increase awareness of their thoughts, emotions, and bodily responses without judgment. I guide clients in developing present-moment skills to reduce anxiety, improve emotional regulation, and enhance overall well-being. In practice, I tailor mindfulness strategies such as grounding, breathing exercises, and body awareness to support each client’s goals and daily functioning.
