If you're dealing with task paralysis, intense emotional loops, or racing thoughts, life can quickly feel overwhelming. I provide a warm, collaborative, and non-judgmental space where we honor your unique journey while tackling the hard stuff head-on. Together, we’ll craft practical frameworks to quiet the constant noise of anxiety, restore your focus, and steady you during intense emotional waves. Whether you are facing chronic burnout or heavy self-criticism, we'll build the daily tools you need to find your footing and regain control. I specialize in helping individuals navigate the exhausting intersections of anxiety, ADHD traits, trauma, and deep-seated emotional patterns. I don't believe in handing out generic, one-size-fits-all advice. Instead, my approach is collaborative, practical, and tailored to your individual patterns of thinking and functioning.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and begin building comfort, trust, and clarity about what you need from therapy. We’ll talk about what brought you in, what you’ve been struggling with, and what you’d like to be different. You don’t need to have everything figured out—just come as you are and share at your own pace. I’ll ask thoughtful questions to better understand your experiences, and you’ll also have space to ask anything about the therapy process. Together, we’ll begin identifying what feels most important to focus on, whether that’s anxiety, ADHD-related challenges such as overwhelm or task paralysis, emotional regulation, trauma, or relationship patterns. My approach is collaborative and structured. When helpful, we may begin working on practical tools you can use between sessions, such as grounding skills, DBT strategies for managing emotions, or ADHD-friendly supports for focus and follow-through—all tailored so they feel realistic and manageable. You’ll leave the first session with a clear sense of direction, next steps, and how we will move forward together.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My approach is grounded in a humanistic framework, creating an authentic and non-judgmental space where you can be your true self. I prioritize the therapeutic relationship, understanding that feeling deeply seen, heard, and respected is the foundation for any meaningful healing. Trust and safety develop at your own pace. Adopting a strengths-based perspective, I focus on identifying and building upon the resilience you already possess. Whether you’re feeling stuck, chronically overwhelmed, or seeking deeper self-understanding, my ultimate goal is to empower you with a clear sense of grounding, confidence, and practical tools to regain control of your life.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

The clients I’m best positioned to serve are adults and teens who often feel overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, or stuck in patterns that are hard to break. You might feel like your mind is constantly busy, your emotions come in strong waves, or it is difficult to feel steady and grounded day to day. Instead of staying stuck in the past or caught in cycles of self-criticism, we focus on what helps you feel better in real life. Together, we work on practical tools you can actually use—tools to calm racing thoughts, get unstuck when things feel frozen or overwhelming, and shift unhelpful thinking patterns. The goal is to help you move from feeling stuck and overwhelmed to feeling more clear, grounded, and able to take steady steps forward in your life.

My treatment methods

Humanistic

My approach is rooted in a humanistic framework that emphasizes creating a nurturing and non-judgmental environment for you to delve into your thoughts and emotions. I firmly believe that every individual possesses the inherent capacity for growth, and I collaborate with you to cultivate self-awareness, enhance your sense of self, and pave the way for transformative change.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is an evidence-based, collaborative approach that delves into the intricate connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. It posits that our perceptions of situations significantly impact our feelings and actions. By actively identifying and challenging automatic, unhelpful thinking patterns—commonly referred to as cognitive distortions—clients acquire the ability to develop more balanced and realistic perspectives. In addition to cognitive restructuring, CBT places a strong emphasis on actionable behavioral changes. Through practical strategies such as behavioral activation, goal-setting, and exposure techniques, it assists individuals in breaking free from unhelpful behavioral cycles, managing emotional distress, and cultivating resilient coping mechanisms to effectively navigate life’s challenges.

EMDR

I employ EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to assist clients in processing and healing from distressing or traumatic experiences. My approach is collaborative and adaptable to your comfort level. Together, we identify memories or experiences that persist and impact your present life. Using guided eye movements or other bilateral stimulation, we facilitate the safe reprocessing of these memories in your brain. EMDR can alleviate the intensity of painful emotions, challenge unhelpful beliefs, and support healing from trauma, anxiety, or other life challenges. I customize EMDR to meet each client’s unique needs, ensuring a safe and supportive environment throughout the process.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is a therapeutic approach I employ to assist clients in developing essential skills for managing intense emotions, enhancing their relationships, and effectively coping with stress. My collaborative and supportive approach involves working closely with clients to cultivate mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. By employing DBT, clients can respond more adeptly to life’s challenges, reduce self-destructive behaviors, and foster meaningful personal growth. I tailor DBT to meet each client’s unique needs, creating a safe, structured, and compassionate environment conducive to their development.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is a mindfulness-based, action-oriented approach that helps clients change their relationship with difficult thoughts and emotions. Instead of trying to eliminate or fix them, ACT focuses on accepting these experiences and committing to taking action. ACT is based on the idea that psychological distress is often worsened by experiential avoidance—the exhausting effort to fight, suppress, or run away from uncomfortable internal experiences. By using core components like cognitive defusion (learning to step back and see thoughts as just words, not absolute truths) and acceptance, clients learn to drop the struggle with intense emotional loops, self-criticism, and the chronic overwhelm of executive dysfunction. ACT encourages clients to cultivate psychological flexibility through present-moment awareness. The ultimate goal of this framework is to help individuals clarify what truly matters to them—their core values—and use that insight as a compass to guide committed action. By shifting the focus away from symptoms and toward value-driven behavior, clients are empowered to build a rich, meaningful life, implementing practical, real-world changes even in the presence of difficult thoughts and feelings.
