I am a compassionate and client-centered therapist who believes meaningful change occurs through both genuine connection and practical support. I strive to create a safe and non-judgmental space where you feel seen, understood, and comfortable exploring your thoughts, emotions, and experiences. My approach is collaborative and grounded in evidence-based practices, tailored to meet your individual needs and goals. I place a strong emphasis on the therapeutic relationship, as trust, safety, and authenticity are essential for growth. I understand that starting therapy can be vulnerable, so I work at a pace that feels right for you while gently encouraging insight and progress. My style is warm, engaged, and balanced. I offer both a space for reflection and concrete tools to help you manage challenges in your daily life. I believe therapy should not only help you process what you have been through, but also support you in building skills that lead to lasting change. I adopt a strengths-based approach, helping you identify and acknowledge the resilience and inner resources you already possess. Whether you are navigating stress, working through past experiences, or seeking a deeper understanding of yourself, my goal is to help you feel more grounded, empowered, and confident moving forward.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and establish a sense of comfort and trust. We’ll discuss the reasons behind your decision to seek therapy, your experiences, and your aspirations for this journey. Feel free to share at your own pace; there’s no rush to have everything figured out. I’ll ask questions to gain a deeper understanding of your story while also creating a safe space for you to ask any questions you may have about me or the therapy process. This is a collaborative experience, and your voice is invaluable. Together, we’ll identify areas to focus on and explore how I can best support you. This may involve approaches like EMDR, CBT, or DBT. My primary goal is for you to leave the first session feeling comfortable, supported, and with a clear understanding of the next steps.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

As a therapist, one of my greatest strengths lies in my ability to seamlessly blend clinical expertise with a genuine and down-to-earth connection. I bring a warm and steady presence to our sessions, offering practical and evidence-based strategies that support meaningful and lasting change. Clients often express their comfort in opening up with me, even when discussing challenging or deeply personal experiences. I actively listen, ask thoughtful questions, and adapt my approach to cater to your individual needs rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all method. My work is grounded in evidence-based modalities such as EMDR, CBT, and DBT, enabling us to explore both insight and real-world application. I work with individuals at various stages of their lives, including those who are new to therapy and those with prior experience seeking deeper exploration. My goal is to create a stable, collaborative, and empowering space where you can gain clarity, strengthen resilience, and develop a more confident sense of self. My ultimate objective is to provide you with both support and challenge, fostering growth and personal development. Together, we will focus on building the tools, insights, and confidence necessary to navigate life more effectively and create lasting, meaningful change.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal client is someone who may feel stuck, disconnected, or overwhelmed, and is ready for things to feel different—even if they are unsure of what that change looks like yet. You might find yourself overthinking, struggling to manage stress, or feeling emotionally drained by day-to-day life. At times, you may appear to have things together on the outside while internally feeling anxious, uncertain, or exhausted. I work particularly well with individuals who are navigating life transitions, managing high expectations, or trying to make sense of recurring patterns in relationships, work, or personal growth. You may have developed coping mechanisms, but are now realizing they are no longer effective or sustainable. You don’t need to have clear goals to begin therapy—just a willingness to be open and engaged in the process. Together, we will explore the underlying causes of your current challenges, gain insight into your experiences, and develop practical tools to help you move forward with greater clarity and confidence. My clients often seek a balance of depth and structure in therapy. They want a safe space to process and be understood, while also gaining practical skills they can apply in their daily lives. If you’re seeking a collaborative, supportive approach that helps you feel more grounded, self-aware, and empowered, we may be a good fit.

My treatment methods

Humanistic

My approach is grounded in a humanistic framework, which prioritizes creating a supportive and non-judgmental space for you to explore your thoughts and emotions. I firmly believe that every individual possesses the inherent potential for growth, and I work collaboratively with you to foster self-awareness, enhance your sense of self, and pave the way for transformative change.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients understand the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. My approach is collaborative and practical. I work with clients to identify unhelpful thinking patterns, challenge cognitive distortions, and develop more balanced ways of thinking. Together, we also focus on changing behaviors that maintain distress and building coping strategies to manage anxiety, depression, or other life challenges. I tailor CBT to each person’s unique experiences, ensuring the techniques are practical, actionable, and aligned with your goals.

EMDR

I use EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to help clients process and heal from distressing or traumatic experiences. My approach is collaborative and paced according to your comfort. Together, we identify memories or experiences that continue to affect your present life and use guided eye movements or other bilateral stimulation to help your brain reprocess these memories safely. EMDR can reduce the intensity of painful emotions, shift unhelpful beliefs, and support healing from trauma, anxiety, or other life challenges. I tailor EMDR to each client’s needs, ensuring a safe and supportive environment throughout the process.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I use Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients build skills for managing intense emotions, improving relationships, and coping with stress. My approach is collaborative and supportive. I work with clients to develop mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness skills. DBT helps clients respond to life’s challenges more effectively, reduce self-destructive behaviors, and create meaningful change. I tailor DBT to each client’s needs, ensuring a safe, structured, and compassionate environment for growth.

Couples Counseling

Relationships are complex, and sometimes the patterns we fall into stop serving the person we love. My approach to couples therapy is collaborative and humanistic, focusing on shifting the 'cycle' rather than blaming individuals. Together, we work to improve communication, foster mutual respect, and rebuild the emotional bonds that allow your partnership to thrive as a whole.
