About me

Hello! My name is is Sehaj Grewal and I am so glad you are taking the first steps to healing. Whether you're struggling with overwhelming thoughts, emotions, past trauma, anxiety, or depression, my goal is to help you reconnect with yourself in a meaningful and lasting way. I offer a compassionate space where you can process your emotions, rebuild trust in your body, and foster an authentic life. My approach is rooted in trauma-informed care, which means I prioritize creating a safe, supportive environment where you can explore your experiences without fear or judgment. I believe that our past experiences, especially in relationships, shape how we respond to the world and ourselves. Through the lens of attachment theory, I help you understand how early relationships impact your current patterns, and we work together to heal those relational wounds. Additionally, I integrate a somatic approach to therapy, which focuses on a mind-body connection.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, we'll begin by creating a safe, supportive space for you to share your story. We'll start with a thorough assessment to understand your unique experiences and the challenges you are facing. I will listen carefully to learn about your presenting concerns, as well as your history and goals for therapy. This helps me understand how to best support you. We'll explore how your past may be impacting you today. Based on this, we will work together to identify the most effective approaches that resonate with you. My goal is for you to leave feeling heard understood, and clear on how we can move forward in a way that honors your needs and healing process.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One my greatest strengths as a therapist is utilizing EMDR to help clients heal from trauma, anxiety, and depression. I have seen firsthand how powerful this approach can be in processing and releasing deeply held emotional wounds. Through a somatic lens, I can see how the body holds much of our trauma, and that true healing involves more than just talking through our struggles. Mindfulness and body awareness are essential tools for reconnecting with our inner world, and I am deeply committed to helping clients explore how their emotions and experiences show up in their bodies. By turning to physical sensations, we can access insights that are often difficult to articulate with words. I work from a trauma-informed, holistic approach, combining these powerful tools to help clients heal on all levels - mentally, emotionally, and physically. My goals is to help you connect with yourself in a deep and lasting way, providing you with practical tools to navigate life's challenges.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I specialize in working with adults who are navigating the complexities of trauma, identity, and emotional well-being. My practice is particularly supportive for individuals who are LGBTQIA+, immigrants or first generation, and women, as I understand the unique challenges these groups may face in terms of cultural identity, belonging, and personal growth. I work from an attachment based, somatic lens, which means I focus on how early relationships shaped your sense of self and how trauma can be stored in the body. If you've experienced emotional, relational, or cultural stress, my approach helps you build healthier patterns and reconnect with your body's wisdom. For those dealing with trauma, I also integrate EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), a highly effective approach to processing and healing past wounds.
