My name is Florence Gbadehan, and I’m a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.

First session

In your first session with me, you can expect a supportive, judgment-free conversation where we’ll discuss your concerns, medical and mental health history, and goals, so we can begin creating a personalized treatment plan together.

Strengths

One of my greatest strengths as a provider is my ability to build trust and connection with clients through empathy, active listening, and a nonjudgmental approach, while combining that with evidence-based knowledge to develop thoughtful, individualized treatment plans that support long-term mental wellness.

Ideal clients

“I am best positioned to serve clients who are seeking compassionate, evidence-based care for a range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and trauma-related conditions. I work well with individuals who are open to a collaborative approach, where we explore psychotherapeutic strategies and, when appropriate, medication management. I have a strong interest in supporting adolescents and adults navigating life transitions, stress, or emotional challenges, and I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered to take an active role in their mental wellness.”

Treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is one of the most widely used, evidence-based treatments for mental health conditions. It focuses on identifying and changing unhelpful patterns in thinking and behavior that contribute to emotional distress. CBT is backed by hundreds of clinical evidence and decades of research showing its effectiveness in treating a wide range of mental health conditions, including: Depression, anxiety disorders (GAD, panic disorder, phobias), PTSD, OCD, bipolar disorder (as part of a comprehensive treatment plan), eating disorders, & substance use disorders. CBT is a highly effective, evidence-based, and cost-efficient therapy that helps manage conditions like depression, anxiety, PTSD, and OCD by providing lasting symptom relief and relapse prevention through practical skill-building.

Florence addressed my concerns with compassion and took immediate action to find a solution. In fact, within 40 min of meeting with her, I was able to pick up my prescription from my local pharmacy. I look forward to my follow up appointment with Florence in a month from now to let her know how things are going with me and to determine if the medication needs to be increased or changed.
