I am a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) with over 4 years of experience. I often work with adults who experience a variety of symptoms or issues that keep them from the life they want to be living. I have seen therapy be the catalyst for many people who want to change their life for the better. In therapy with me, you can expect honest conversation with an individualized plan towards growth. Together, we’ll work to help you build a life that reflects your true values and purpose.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During our first session, we’ll cover important aspects of therapy, including confidentiality, trust, and what brings you to therapy. We’ll also take time to get to know each other, discuss what you hope to gain from therapy, and begin identifying goals together. This session is also an opportunity to see if my approach or style feels like a good fit for you, so you can feel comfortable and confident moving forward.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My greatest strengths as a therapist are flexibility, authenticity, and the ability to adapt my approach to each client’s unique needs. I believe effective therapy is not one-size-fits-all. Every person comes with different experiences, personalities, goals, and challenges, so I strive to meet clients where they are while creating a treatment approach that fits them specifically. I encourage honesty, transparency, and feedback throughout the therapeutic process so that our sessions continue evolving in a way that feels helpful and meaningful. I work to create a space that is nonjudgmental yet truthful. While structure and clear goals are important in therapy, I also recognize that growth often requires flexibility. Some clients benefit from direct coping strategies and skill-building, while others need space to process deeper emotional patterns, past experiences, and relationships. Rather than simply giving advice, I help clients better understand the “why” behind their thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and struggles. This deeper self-awareness often leads to lasting change, stronger relationships, and a greater sense of balance and direction in life.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I have a background working with families and individuals impacted by trauma, domestic violence, divorce, and addiction. I also have experience working with children K-12 experiencing mental health challenges. I now help individuals navigate anxiety, depression, relationships, and life changes. I am open to working with anyone who is looking for lasting change, real progress, and a better life. I believe anyone who is open to therapy can benefit from therapy regardless of who they are and what they have been through.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use a blend approaches backed by research like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help clients understand their own thoughts, emotions and behaviors. This acts as a foundation to help explore and identify patterns that may be hindering your personal growth. The approach to our therapy will vary from client to client as some approaches work better or worse for people with different beliefs, strengths, and backgrounds.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I believe that the client comes first and is their world experience is the center of every session.

Christian Counseling

For clients who value faith, a Christian perspective can be thoughtfully integrated into our work, as I have years of experience within this belief system. Clients of all backgrounds and beliefs are welcome, and every client will be treated with the same level of care, respect, and compassion regardless of their beliefs or lack thereof.

Trauma Informed Care

Trauma is often present in our lives even when we may feel we were never traumatized. Working through this, doesn't mean that it will be the focus of every session; instead, it means we will keep close attention on any unresolved healing or repeating patterns that may be stemming from something beneath the surface.

Humanistic

Creating a healthy life involves looking at all areas of our lives and working toward a balance that supports our overall well-being. In our sessions, we will explore ways to strengthen balance in areas such as physical, social, emotional, spiritual, occupational, and other important aspects of life that impact quality of life and personal fulfillment.
