I have been working in mental health for 14 years. Working with my clients and supporting my clients has been a privilege and such a joy. I received my Bachelor of Science in Psychology degree in 2008 from Southern Arkansas University. In 2012, I pursued a Masters of Science in Addiction Counseling and in 2014 I received a Masters of Science in Professional Counseling. Most recently I obtained a Post Masters Certification in Marriage and Family Counseling.
In our first session, we will get to know each other; providing a brief history of concerns, expectations and goal setting.
My passion is helping people. I believe in taking a collaborative approach when working with clients to help them reach their goals. I love to see change and if not change at least HOPE.
I have experience in working children and adults with: Attention Deficit disorder (ADD) Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) Behavior problems Bipolar disorder Depression Anxiety Schizophrenia Addiction Pre-marital counseling
CBT is my favorite method to use. It helps to identify and cope with specific challenges and helps to recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are all connected.
MI helps you to explore your feelings and find your own personal motivations for change.
