I've always known I was going to be a therapist. I have a lifelong interest in helping others through their personal growth. I am a first generation Latina and parent. I have extensive experience working with children and teens with special needs, as well as young adults. I know how to help my clients learn how to survive and thrive through difficult times.
First, you would reach out to therapist, sign some intake paperwork, and then get on the schedule. The purpose of the first session is to help you and I get to know each and to help you decide if you think the relationship will be a good fit. While it can often be nerve-wracking to sit down with someone new, it’s an important step on the process toward mental well-being.
My greatest strengths as a provider are my friendly nature combined with my direct and practical approach toward your issues means you'll get homework after every session. I'm flexible, allowing you to be a co-contributor to the therapy process.
My ideal client is a young adult or new parent trying to manage through a difficult time.
I am trained in EMDR and work together with the client to identify and reprocess past events that are triggered in your every day life.
I have a masters in marriage and family therapy. Extensively trained in Gottman methodology as well as EFT. I give assessments to find problem areas in the couple.
