About me

Hi, I'm Amber! I have been working with adults, adolescents, and families for over 15 years. I practice affirming therapy from a social justice and client-centered framework. I've worked in various types of settings during my career. I enjoy being in private practice the most becasue it allows me to get to know my clients on a deeper level so we can make significant changes in their life. I'm a big therapy nerd, constantly learning and growing my skills. In my free time I enjoy reading, spending time with my friends, family, and dog, and watching Philly sports! (Go Birds!)

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During out first session we will complete or review all necessary documentation to get you started with therapy. We'll also discuss confidentiality and how I'll keep you and your information safe and protected. Then we'll begin to dive into what's bring you into therapy and start to make a treatment plan together. We'll also use our first few sessions getting to know one another and whether or not we're a good fit. I look forward to getting to know you.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What makes me a unique therapist is that I'm not your typical therapist. I bring my whole person to sessions and will work diligently to ensure you can do the same. I'll be your biggest cheerleader and hype girl but I'll also help you dig around in some of the emotional muck we're all carrying thanks to capitalism, colonialism, white supremacy, homophobia, and sexism.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I specialize in working with clients who are members of the LGBTQIA+ community, living with chronic illness and pain, in poly/EMN/kink relationships, and in need of support from someone who knows what it means to feel different.
