Do you wonder if your life could feel better than it currently does? I work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, including postpartum anxiety and depression, grief, trauma, life transitions, and other life challenges. In this therapeutic process, we work together to help bring you closer to what truly matters to you and help create change and healing in your life. I use evidence-based techniques, which includes EMDR along with a variety of other treatment modalities. I am EMDR Trained and currently working toward EMDR certification as well. Therapy can help you create a sense of safety and nurturing within, whether you’ve lost that feeling along the way or never had it to begin with. I strongly believe in the brain’s tendency towards resilience and its innate ability to heal itself with support. I strive to provide a safe, supportive, open-minded, and respectful environment, and I believe that a collaborative relationship is critical to therapeutic success. In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session together, I will strive to make the session feel like a safe space where you can start to share about yourself with me. I will be asking you questions based on your intake that you filled in, and I will want to find out more about what is bringing you to therapy so we can start the therapeutic process.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

Creating a safe space for clients to share and to feel heard and seen. To be a guide for the client to help them discover insights that they may be struggling to see, and often these insights can help bring more healing and change when someone is feeling stuck.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

Adults struggling with difficult emotions/stressors/life transitions, trauma(s), anxiety, and depression. Also, I work with women who are pregnant, in the postpartum period, including experiencing postpartum anxiety and/or depression. For client's wanting to specifically treat past trauma(s), EMDR is an evidence based treatment that can help relieve traumatic memories.

My treatment methods

EMDR

I am an EMDR trained therapist, and I am also currently in the process of becoming certified in EMDR. This therapy method is used to help clients reprocess past traumas and negative experiences, which can reduce negative effects of the trauma and increase coping skills and resiliency.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I use mindfulness based techniques when appropriate to help clients feel more grounded and present and reduce unwanted symptoms

Compassion Focused

I help clients learn how to be more compassionate and kind/gentle with themselves, which in terms helps clients feel better

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

This modality can be very helpful for reducing anxiety and depressed or down mood.
