New to Grow
As a therapist my goal is to create a safe space where you will not be judged or criticized but instead supported and understood. I believe therapy is meant for us to face challenges and grow as a person. I believe that building awareness is the first step to healing. I have been a therapist for several years and as a result have gained an eclectic approach when it comes to therapy. I have been trained as a Cognitive Behavioral Therapist and as a Bowen Family Systems Therapist. I believe we all have the capacity to make changes in us in order to be happier and gain a healthier outlook on life Clients describe me as a good listener, empathetic, supportive, non-judgmental and “down to earth.” I provide a safe environment where you can be yourself without worrying about being judged or ridiculed. I believe that as a therapist I have the privilege to accompany you and guide you on your path to getting to know yourself better. My clinical experience ranges from working with people who struggle with depression, anxiety and mood disorders. I have a background in working with people who struggle with issues surrounding addiction. I also provide help to adults and children who have attention deficit disorder. Other areas that I have worked with include childhood trauma, self-esteem issues and personal growth.
First session is focused on making client comfortable and getting to know each other.
I have been described as non-judgmental and accepting. I see myself as a guide, friend and teacher.
I believe the client who is seeking personal growth and is motivated for change is probably every dream client for therapists. I believe that whoever comes to therapy is seeking something, I feel that I try to help that client find what it is. I do not have preferences when it comes to clients, it is up to the client to choose what and who makes a good match for them.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I believe that managing emotions have to be thought out and if we learn to think with our mind instead of our feelings, we can learn to better grasp how we interact with the world around us.
Culturally Sensitive Therapy
I enjoy working with a diverse population of people and different faiths. I do not believe in therapy cutter therapy. I believe that therapy should be tailored to the individual, couples and families
