Hi! I'm a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), and have been practicing since 2020. Prior to that I graduated in 2013 as a Family Nurse Practitioner from VCU, and worked for over 6 years in Wound Healing. I use medication management to help adults manage mental health issues and disorders but I believe medications work best as part of a comprehensive approach to Mental Health Recovery.

First session

In our first session: we will introduce ourselves and find out your main concern. We will gather some background information that will help me to understand where you are coming from. I like to find out about what has helped or not helped in the past and I welcome any questions you might have.

I love to hear your story, I like to ask more questions so that I understand what is important, I have empathy and I don't give up.

Ideal clients

If you have been putting this off because you have been so busy making sure everyone else is taken care of and now you are ready to prioritize your own mental health... If you have been traumatized by the past or by your current situation and you have little support, and feel so anxious that you can't sleep and are always on edge... maybe your preferred treatment is therapy, but you are working hard on using your coping skills and you still feel down... I have found that these are some of the clients that I love to work with the most
