Sometimes the most powerful step toward change is simply having someone truly listen. I offer a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can explore your experiences openly and feel genuinely understood. Together, we can work toward greater self-awareness, clarity, and meaningful change in your life. I am a person-centered therapist with over 25 years of experience helping individuals create meaningful and lasting change in their lives. I believe that healing begins when people feel truly heard and understood, and I strive to offer a compassionate, supportive space where clients can explore their experiences and move toward greater clarity and self-acceptance.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Your first session is an opportunity for us to begin getting to know one another. My primary goal is to listen and understand your story, what has brought you to therapy, and what you hope to gain from the process. Together, we will begin identifying your needs and discussing goals that feel meaningful to you. There is no pressure to share everything at once—this is simply the beginning of building a supportive and trusting therapeutic relationship. As a person-centered clinician, I first want to actively listen and understand your narrative. I want to hear your story and collaborate with you on your specific needs and goals. We will identify and define goals together, build skills for the present, and honor the wisdom and capacity you already possess for growth and fulfillment.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

What makes my approach unique is the combination of over 25 years of experience and a deep commitment to person-centered therapy. I focus on creating a space where clients feel genuinely heard, respected, and accepted without judgment. I believe that when people feel safe to share their authentic experiences, they are better able to discover their own strengths, insight, and capacity for change. One of the most important aspects of my work is the quality of attention and listening I bring to each session. With many years of clinical experience, I have developed a strong ability to understand the deeper emotional experiences that people carry. My goal is to help clients feel truly understood while supporting them in gaining clarity, self-awareness, and confidence in their own ability to grow. What sets my work apart is my emphasis on authenticity and collaboration. I do not believe therapy should feel clinical or distant. Instead, I aim to create a genuine human connection where clients feel safe to explore their thoughts, emotions, and life experiences while discovering their own path forward.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work well with individuals who are interested in personal growth, self-reflection, and living more authentically. Whether someone is navigating stress, life transitions, relationship challenges, or emotional difficulties, I aim to provide a safe environment where they can explore their experiences and move toward greater clarity and fulfillment.

My treatment methods

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I am a compassionate therapist who believes that every person has the capacity for growth, healing, and self-understanding. My work is grounded in the person-centered approach, which means that therapy is guided by your experiences, your values, and your goals. In our sessions, I aim to create a safe, non-judgmental, and supportive space where you can explore your thoughts and emotions freely. I practice with the core principles of empathy, genuineness, and unconditional positive regard. Rather than directing or diagnosing your path, I work alongside you as a supportive partner while you discover your own insights and solutions. I believe you are the expert on your own life and that everyone is capable of growth and change, and has an innate drive to live an authentic and purposeful life.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approach to help clients understand how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected. CBT is a structured, goal-oriented form of therapy that focuses on identifying unhelpful thinking patterns and developing practical strategies to improve emotional well-being. In our sessions, we will work collaboratively to explore the thoughts and beliefs that may be contributing to challenges in your life. Together, we will learn to recognize negative, irrational or distorted thinking patterns and replace them with more balanced and helpful perspectives. CBT also focuses on developing coping skills and behavioral strategies that you can apply in everyday situations. I believe therapy should be active, collaborative, and empowering. My role is to support you in learning skills that help you manage difficult emotions, solve problems effectively, and create positive behavioral changes that lead to long-term improvement.

Existential

I use Existential therapy, an approach that focuses on helping individuals explore the deeper questions of life such as meaning, purpose, freedom, and personal responsibility. I believe that many emotional struggles arise when people feel disconnected from their values, uncertain about their direction in life, or overwhelmed by life’s challenges and choices. In therapy, I provide a thoughtful and supportive environment where you can explore your experiences, beliefs, and concerns about life, identity, relationships, and the future. Rather than focusing only on symptoms, existential therapy looks at the broader human experience and encourages reflection on what it means to live authentically. My approach is reflective and exploratory, open and collaborative, focuses on personal meaning and values, and empathizes self-awareness and responsibility.
