About me

Hi, I'm Llaneh, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in supporting children, adolescents, and families. I provide a warm, supportive, and developmentally appropriate space where young people can express themselves comfortably. Through play, creativity, and evidenced-based strategies, I help clients build confidence, developing coping skills, manage emotions, and strengthen relationships.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During the first session, I focus on creating a welcoming and comfortable space for both the child and caregiver. We will discuss the family's concerns, the child's strengths, and their goals for therapy. My hope is that families leave feeling head, supported, and confident that we have a clear plan for moving forward.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I have experience helping children and teens with anxiety, emotional regulation, behavioral concerns, life transitions, self-esteem and family-related stress. My approach is trauma-informed and individualized, incorporating evidence-based strategies along with play, creativity, and age-appropriate activities to help therapy feel engaging and meaningful. I also value working collaboratively with parents and caregivers, because meaningful change often happens both inside and outside of the therapy room. My goal is to help each child feel understood, develop practical coping skills, and feel more confident navigating everyday challenges.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal clients are children and adolescents experiencing anxiety, OCD, emotional regulation difficulties, behavioral concerns, low self-esteem, or challenges related to life transitions. I work best with families who value collaborative and supportive approach. Caregivers are encouraged to participate when appropriate so that children can practice new coping skills and experience meaningful progress at home, schools, and in their relationships.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help children and adolescents understand how their thoughts, feelings, and actions are connected. Through age-appropriate conversations, play, creative activities, and skill-building exercises, clients learn to recognize unhelpful thought patterns, manage difficult emotions, and practice healthier responses. We build practical coping skills they can use at home, at school, and in their relationships.

Motivational Interviewing

I use Motivational Interviewing to help clients explore their feelings, goals, and readiness for change without pressure or judgement. Through open conversations, I help children and adolescents recognize their strengths, identify what matters to them, and find their own reasons for making positive changes. This approach supports confidence, independence, and meaningful progress toward their personal and treatment goals.

Play Therapy

I use play therapy to help children express thoughts and feelings that may be difficult to communicate with words. Through games, toys, art, storytelling, and sensory activities, children can explore emotions, practice copings skills, and build confidence in a safe environment. Activities are selected according to each child's age, needs, interests, and treatment goals.
