New clients continue care with this provider

Hi, my name is Kristina. I love to help people overcome obstacles in their lives, including but not limited to relationship problems, anxiety, low moods, work burnout, major life transitions, or self-esteem issues. I use a Person-Centered approach to therapy and apply evidence-based practices such as CBT and Solution Focused. I facilitate a therapeutic space of non-judgment and curious exploration, to foster self-discovery and deep healing from trauma and adverse experiences.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

The first session is an assessment where I get to know your biopsychosocial history and current presentation problems and confirm if I am the right level of care for you. From there we will collaborate to create measurable treatment goals that will guide your therapy progress. This first session is also an opportunity for you to ask me questions about my treatment modality, set up follow up appointments, and review consents.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a trauma-informed therapist, I strive to empower clients to overcome feelings of shame, alienation, and inadequacy. I strive evoke teach self-compassion and self-love to combat internalized anger and self-sabotage.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

Adults 18 and up. Depression and Anxiety. Self esteem, OCD, mood dysregulation, stress management, grief and loss, trauma, parenting issues, and sexuality issues.

My treatment methods

Person-centered (Rogerian)

Person centered therapy is the foundation that I structure therapy on because it honors and respects the client's experience and self-determination. It cultivates a meaningful therapeutic alliance between counselor and client that creates a safe space for healing to occur.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT when indicated with psychoeducation on cognitive distortions, and skills training.
