About me

Welcome. I provide culturally responsive psychotherapy for women of color seeking an empathic, nonjudgmental, and supportive therapeutic space. My approach is grounded in evidence-based practices and informed by an understanding of cultural identity, lived experiences, and generational traumas. I’ve been providing mental health services for the last ten years. I began my career as a mental health professional in public mental health to underprivileged communities. For the last five years, I’ve been steady building my private practice. I’m passionate about working with women. I specialize in helping women who are struggling with life transitions and past traumas, mood disorders, and grief and loss.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

I initially work closely with my clients to identify the presenting problems that are bringing them to therapy and collaborate on goals they want to accomplish in treatment. My therapeutic approach is centered in meeting you where you’re currently in life and holding a safe space to help you feel comfortable in showing up genuinely as yourself without any reservations. If we decide this is not a good clinical fit I am more than willing to help refer you to another therapist.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

As a first-generation immigrant eldest daughter my personal lived experiences have deepened my understanding on the importance of prioritizing your mental health and living your life on your terms!

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

Ideally, I would like to work with women of color who have not experienced working with a therapist who also shares this lived experience. I have over ten years of experience working with clients who are experiencing life transitions, mood disorders, complex traumas, and grieving loss . My therapeutic approach is client centered and rooted in intersectionality and lived experiences shaped by racial and cultural identity.

My treatment methods

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

DBT is a great clinical intervention to help clients self regulate and learn healthy ways to address difficult emotional responses in real time.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-i)

CBT helps clients identify faulty patterns of thinking and teaching them how to reframe and replace negative thoughts.

Grief Therapy

In grief therapy, I help clients understand the five stages of grief and help process those stages in a therapeutic setting.
