LPC, 17 years of experience
I’ve been a somatic trauma therapist for over 17 years. I believe healing can only happen interpersonally. I’ve worked mostly with the LGBTQ+ community, but straights are welcome ;) Body/Mind facilitation to holistically release effects of systemic trauma in the body and thought patterning, rewire neural pathways to create positive subconscious programming, release effects of pandemic isolation and retrain body/mind to access deeper forms of trust/intimacy
We start with what you need help with in the here and now. I believe it can cause harm to dive into your life history too soon. We work at connecting, resourcing, and helping you get necessary tools/awareness to make your present life more manageable to start.
I’m a love warrior. I’m funny and direct. I believe the best work is done when we allow to bring our full selves. I engage in generative conflict, repair, and interdependent accountability.
My approach allows for all parts of the self (especially ones that are unwelcome in most spaces—rage, shame, fear, scarcity, and guilt) to be released, witnessed, and integrated/transitioned into a sense of liberated, authentic wholeness Explore full authentic self expression including gender expression, external movement, aesthetics, and internal identity: values, beliefs) Release body shame (from verbal/physical/societal harm) Individual and collective sessions
Our bodies store our history, trauma, and conditioning. Somatic Trauma Therapy addresses the physical holdings and systemic programming which can keep us from feeling safe, strong, and free in our bodies. Explore full authentic self expression including gender expression, aesthetics, and internal/external identity: values and beliefs Release body shame (from verbal/physical/societal/ sexual harm)

Karen was very relatable and easy to talk to. She asked good questions and left me with some practical things to use.
