Priscilla Flores
Hi, I’m Priscilla :) Starting therapy takes courage, especially when you’re feeling unsure, vulnerable, or overwhelmed and I deeply respect the bravery it takes to show up anyway. I know what it’s like to sit in the client chair, feeling scared but still choosing to take that leap toward self understanding and better mental health. I’m committed to creating a safe, supportive space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences without judgment. Part of this means I aim to decolonize therapy in sessions by honoring diverse cultural perspectives, identities, and ways of knowing, and challenging traditional power dynamics in the therapist–client relationship. In this space I want you to be yourself. Snacks? Absolutely. A simple chore while we talk because you need to keep your body busy? Go for it. Therapy doesn’t have to look "traditional", we’ll make it work for you.
I know what it’s like to sit in the client chair, feeling scared but still choosing to take that leap toward self-understanding and better mental health.
I’ve worked with teens, adults, couples, and families, and I bring a warm, easygoing, and person-centered approach to every session. Therapy with me is collaborative and honest, no pressure to have it all figured out. I believe both the client and therapist are doing their best, showing up as perfectly flawed humans. Growth often asks us to step into some discomfort, and I’m here to support you as you take those steps toward understanding yourself and your relationships.
First session
The first session is a chance to take a breath, settle in, and shake out some of the nerves you may have been holding onto while waiting for this appointment. We’ll spend time getting to know each other, talking about what brought you in, and explore your goals. It is important to make sure we’re a good fit, because feeling safe and supported matters before we jump into your care.
Strengths
I’m all about connecting with people and creating a space where you can be yourself. I love getting curious about how your brain sees the world and how you experience yourself and others. It’s a privilege to explore that with you. I focus on teaching practical skills to help you feel grounded, confident, and more in tune with your mental health. Therapy with me doesn’t have to be heavy. We’ll laugh, be real, and figure things out together. And yes, if that means snacking while we talk, we’re doing it—because your basic needs matter and play a huge role in supporting your mental health.
Ideal clients
I'm best positioned to support clients who want to deepen their relationship with themselves and the people in their lives. Therapy works best when we're both in it together. If you bring the willingness to try, I will happily meet you where you're at. With nearly a decade of experience, I specialize in working with neurodivergent individuals (specifically ADHD), ages 18+, healthcare providers, military members, veterans, family members of veterans, and queer folks.
Treatment methods
Somatic
I place a focus on the mind–body connection, helping you notice how stress, emotions, and past experiences show up in your body. We use gentle, body-based techniques to build awareness, release tension, and support lasting emotional regulation and healing.
Culturally Sensitive Therapy
As a Provider of Color, my identity deeply informs my work and the way I show up in session. I know how exhausting it can be to live in a world that was created to actively harm and work against marginalized communities, and I take seriously my role in creating a soft, safe landing space where people from all backgrounds and experiences can feel seen and supported. I approach therapy through a social justice lens, honoring your lived experiences, and I will always be open feedback—this is a space we shape together.
Trauma-Informed Care
Trauma can impact your nervous system, emotions, and relationships. I prioritize safety, choice, and collaboration, helping you move at your own pace while building resilience and a sense of control.
Attachment-based
Our first relationships in childhood teach us patterns of trust, safety, and connection that can follow us into adulthood. Spending time understanding this impact can allow us to find ways to create healthier attachments.
