(she/her)
Hi! I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) based in Florida. I received my Masters from Capella University and have been practicing in Florida for several years. I help adults struggling with symptoms of anxiety, depression, and/or trauma. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and a mindfulness based approach. I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
Our first session would look like me asking specific questions to get to know the whole you and to help us figure out where you are feeling the most need for support.
My greatest strengths as a provider are that I have experienced many challenges of life myself, I have compassion, understanding, and strong knowledge and love for psychology. I am skilled in recognizing patterns of behavior and thinking that are harmful and communicating how and why changes may need to be made.
I am skilled in working with women that are struggling to find a sense of peace and that may be feeling overwhelmed or questioning themselves. I can provide support in laying everything out and then figuring out where to start and what to do next.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I predominantly use CBT in my practice because it helps to assess what challenges we face, it supports bringing more awareness to the way we perceive those challenges, and let's us recognize how our thinking can influence how we work through the challenges. Examples of how CBT would be used include: replacing negative thought pattern with positives, managing symptoms of anxiety and depression, and learning behavioral strategies to deal with issues such as boundaries.
