I apply a very holistic and patient centered approach in therapy utilizing mindfulness, emotional regulation techniques, education building healthy coping skills, assistance processing through difficult life transitions, and cognitive restructuring from a strengthen based perspective. I have training in EMDR, managing anxiety disorders, complex trauma, somatic-based interventions, grief treatment, Internal Family Systems, and Cognitive Behavior therapy. My greatest pleasure is to help clients to reach their full potential through self-exploration and self-discovery.
In our first session will be about 1 hour long and I will gather a detailed history including your background, and also current challenges that prompted you to seek therapy. This will be interactive, and I will be providing support and guidance during this initial session; however, it will be the guide that helps us to set up a treatment plan to help serve you best.
No one should have to walk through life's challenges alone. This belief is what launched me into social work in 2016 and I had the honor of practicing social work in mental health, hospice and palliative care, and medical case management since that time. Every person is unique, and every story has meaning that goes far beyond what we might see on the surface. There are so many pieces to the puzzle of our lives, and I enjoy helping people discover themselves and unlock what may keep them stuck or blocking them from moving forward.
I love working with individuals who are interested in learning more about themselves and improving their way of thinking. I serve adults from 18-99 and have experience working with individuals facing life transitions.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I have been utilizing CBT as a core modality with clients since starting my practice in 2019. It has proven to be an excellent therapeutic modal to assist with working through depression and anxiety by assisting the client to explore negative or maladaptive thought patterns. We will use CBT to challenge thought patterns and work through situational and life stressors and will learn skills that will assist in applying these techniques on a regular basis.
