Hi, my name is Sierra Thompson and welcome to Bee Self-Full Counseling Services. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a Masters Degree in Clinical Counseling, specializing in trauma. I have years of experience working with adult and adolescent populations. My experience in the field has been comprised of private practice and community behavioral settings. I am eclectic in my approach to treating challenging symptoms that negatively impact daily functioning. I am CBT certified and I have experience using approaches such as DBT, mindfulness, psychodynamic, solution-focused, motivational interviewing, and a host of others. My goal is to assist YOU in being the best version of YOU. Together, we can develop ways to tackle challenges and adversities while adapting to living an intentional life filled with happiness and fulfillment. Sliding scale available upon request. Unfortunately I do not take insurance for couples therapy. Couples' therapy would be private pay only at a rate of $200/hour. Sliding sale offered upon request. Virtual appointments only. If there is a need for in person therapy, please reachout to schedule a consultation.
In our first session, we will start with brief introductions, review confidentiality and informed consent as we ease into your reasoning for coming to therapy. You can expect a listening ear as I provide a supportive environment to welcome your level of comfort with sharing your distress. Together, we develop a treatment plan, consisting of attainable goals. I give a brief overview of my expectations of therapy with you. I hold you fully accountable for your progress in therapy!
My strength areas are assisting in life transitions, stress management and confidence building.
Sierra Thompson offers therapy covered by Medicaid - Superior HealthPlan and Superior HealthPlan (Managed Medicaid) in Texas.
I am CBT certified. Together we will explore how your thoughts, emotions and behaviors work for or against each other. Identifying the causation of each can assist in being more in control of yourself.
Let’s dive into why you are the way you are. Exploring your view of self, others and the work can help us to create realistic goals and expectations, therefore decreasing disappointment.
Let’s identify the problem and come up with a solution together.
What happened to you? Your past does not have to be your present or future. You are safe now! Let’s work to create emotional safety, unlearn traumatic dynamics and responses and be more in control of our lives.
Let’s explore what your strengths are and use those to your advantage.
