Welcome! As a bilingual Chicana LCSW, I provide a supportive space (un espacio de confianza) where you can explore challenges, build coping skills, and create meaningful change. As a Chicana/Latina therapist, cultural humility and honoring the whole person are central to my work. I especially value supporting individuals from diverse and underserved communities, including the Latine/Latinx population, as they navigate anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and life transitions. As a Chicana daughter of immigrant parents with a BA in Chicano/a/x Studies, my calling to therapy is deeply personal. I witnessed the resilience and unique struggles within our community, which inspires me to provide a space where you feel truly seen, empowering you to heal, break generational cycles, and thrive. My approach is strengths-based and solution-focused, helping clients build practical tools while feeling seen, heard, and understood. Together, we will build on your strengths, honoring your story while developing practical tools to overcome life’s challenges, reduce stress, and create meaningful, lasting change in your life and relationships.

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, our focus is building confianza (trust) and a genuine connection. We will talk about what brings you to therapy, look at your strengths, and discuss your hopes for healing. It’s normal to feel nervous, but you set the pace—there is no pressure, just a warm, supportive, and judgment-free space.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I bring warmth, authenticity, and genuine curiosity to every session. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, understood, and empowered to be yourself without fear of judgment. I believe healing happens through a strong therapeutic relationship built on trust, collaboration, and compassion, while also providing practical tools you can use in your everyday life.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal clients are navigating anxiety, depression, stress, relationship challenges, life transitions, or feeling stuck in patterns that no longer serve them. I also value working with individuals from diverse and underserved communities, including the Latine/Latinx population, who are seeking a culturally responsive and collaborative space. Together, we focus on building insight, strengthening coping skills, and creating practical, sustainable change.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT to help clients understand how their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected. Together, we identify unhelpful thought patterns and gently work on shifting them into more balanced and supportive ways of thinking. I also focus on practical coping skills that clients can use in daily life to manage stress, anxiety, and overwhelming emotions more effectively.

Motivational Interviewing

I use Motivational Interviewing to help clients explore ambivalence and strengthen their own motivation for change. I take a collaborative and non-judgmental approach, using open-ended questions and reflection to support clients in identifying their values, goals, and readiness for change. This process helps clients feel heard while building confidence in their ability to take meaningful steps forward.

Psychoeducation

I use psychoeducation to help clients better understand what they are experiencing and why it may be happening. I explain concepts in a simple and relatable way so clients can make sense of their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. This helps reduce confusion and shame while giving clients practical tools and information they can use to support their healing.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I use Solution-Focused Brief Therapy to help clients identify what is already working in their lives and build on their existing strengths. Rather than focusing only on problems, we look at practical steps and achievable goals that can create meaningful change in a short amount of time. This approach helps clients feel more hopeful, empowered, and focused on solutions.

Strength-Based

I use a strength-based approach that focuses on helping clients recognize their resilience, skills, and inner strengths, even during challenging times. Together, we explore what has helped you get through difficult experiences and build on those tools to support healing, growth, and confidence moving forward.
